My boyfriend is always nice to me except for when his friend Alex is over when Alex is over he insults and they laugh at me and make fun of me and he is not himself at all! I have talked to him about this and he says he dont do it but i know he does and it hurts i like the regular him not the im with alex him! What do I Do?

Give him an ultimatum. If talking hasn't worked, explain to him that either he changes the way he treats you while Alex is over or you're leaving.
If you want to teach him a lesson only and really do want him back after this, then proceed to not pick up the phone when he calls or call him. After two weeks, maybe less, he'll come knocking on your door contrite as a puppy who's just done something wrong.

Well, if you ask me ,Ill say that he is about to lose a girlfriend soon. But thats not your question. you must be firm in telling him that it really bothers you, but you need to understand this about this whole deal. Boys act one way when their with boys and another way when their with girls mainly because they never had the proper guidance from parents about these things and they really are only doing what they know how to do. Now it takes time for a young guy to begin learning that he has to respect a girl, and that he just can't be the way he is with his friends, and he needs to find out what he really wants at this point in his life. It sounds like he is in the process of growing up or maturing though,because you said hes not like that when you two are alone. But you really need to sit him down and talk to him, make sure he doesn't have any distractions when you do, so that he can see your hurt feelings when you tell him. He must see how serios you are .

His friend Alex probably dosent like you for some reason or another. They probably have the type of friendship, like most guys, where all they really know to do is laugh and joke together. He probably knows that Alex dosent like you, and that is why they do that. If it were me, I'd tell him to knock it off or else he'll be looking for another girlfriend. Its his job to keep his friends in check, not yours.

Maybe the "with Alex" him IS the regular him and he acts different when he is with you.You guys are obviously young and he has no idea how to balance looking "cool" in front of his friends and treating you right.He is just immature.It won't change until he is older and more mature most likely.Esp if he doesn't even recognize it or will admit it if he does.

Either he dumps ALEX,or you dump him.... Alex seems to bring the nasty side of your boyfriend out....I hate to say this,He knows what he is saying and doing to you....I really think you deserve alot better treatment and respect from your boyfriend....He's showing off to Alex and Alex is following is line....You know after writing all of this,I would DUMP HIM FOR SURE....Believe me Sweety,Your going to feel alot better....

Obviously he is not hearing you out. He seems one-minded in the situation. I suggest you point it out to him the problem one more time. Point out specifics of what he did. Facts will get you anywhere. By only being accusal without facts does not make it convincing enough to him to listen to you (even though he should in the first place). If doing this does not work, then the relationship will definitely not work. Relationships are rely on good communication. If the communication in the relationship is only one-sided, then it is not worth it to pursue any longer.

It seems that your boyfriend has a lot of growing up to do. I suggest you tell your b/f that either he controls himself in front of Alex or you don't wish to see either of them again as no one has the right to ride rough shod over your dignity. I cant understand any "man" who does that to the lady he claims to love!!

It sounds like you are shacked up with your bf. I guess the rent is cheaper that way. Either put up all the his garbage (being controlling/acting inconsiderate) or move out and get your own place where you can be be in control of your life. Your bf feels he can treat you this way because he does not respect you, Move on and begin living a better life...without him.

People respond to othe rpeople. The person he is to you is never the same to others, no one is like that, not even you. Are you honestly the EXACT SAME PERSON in front of friends as you are with say: boyfriends? Teachers? Parents? Cops? No your not.

When he is doing it,say (your boyfriends name)I need to talk to you!And if he says no and makes fun of you,then say you know what,if you dont stop,where OVER!Because do you realy want a boyfriend who does that?But if he says ok,then tell him to knock this crap off or your OVER!Because like i said,Do you realy want a boyfriend that does thAT?
