Yes, every word of scripture is written holy men of God as they were inspired by the Holy Ghost. Now I don't believe every idea that people draw out of the bible, which is not even how it's suppossed to go, your supposed to read the bible and let the word speak to you. Not try to verify your own opinions or ideas off of one word in the bible - which unfortunately happens. When the bible states that every principle is established by the mouth of two or three scriptures.
So , yes I do believe that the bible is 100% perfect and infallible. Besides, I don't believe for a second that God would lead his people astray, and if read the Bible with actual understanding you'll find that everything fits together and just makes sense.
As far as different versions go, if you can't find the original hebrew(old testement) and greek (new testement) versions to buy, than you can certainly find the translations online (Crosswalk.com)
Now the best english translation, in my opinion, is the King James, because it's the oldest and is very eloquent. But even with KJV there are still some greek and hebrew words that cannot be perfectly translated into english words. In which you can always look the word up. It's really simple, I do it all the time.

100 % perfect? Is that correct to three significant figures (as in 100. note the point after the last zero)? OR 100.00000000000% (14 significant figures).

I don't think it has absolutely NO error. But whatever error is there is of little significance. This may be due to a number of factors:

1. Any historian, police officer or reporter will tell you that if 5 persons witnessed and incident and each were to write a report on it, their story will vary about 10 - 30 % IN THE DETAILS, but that the main facts will be consistent. Did Jesus die on a cross or a tree? Did He die on a Wednesday or a Friday? Were the guards temple guards or Roman soldiers? Who cares? The fact remains that He died!! This is a concept that MOST people, including many Christians, do not understand.

2. Transliteration. There is no word in English for the original Hebrew, Aramaic or ancient Greek word. One example is the English word "comforter", in reference to the Holy Spirit. The original Greek meant Soldier B fighting back-to-back with soldier A AGAINST THEIR ENEMIES. B was "comforter" to A.

3. Exact meaning not clear. The original word may have more than one meaning. This is why study Bibles include margins and foot-notes with alternative words. One example: Ps. 150: 4.
Praise him with the timbrel and dance (or pipe): etc.

I understand and accept these MINOR errors as they relate to TRANSLATIONS. They do not affect my belief in the main themes of the Bible.

No

"The Bible is and has been validated by Scientific, Historical, Archeological, Manuscript, Prophetic and Continuity Accuracy."

What makes you say that? Where's your evidence?

Hell no. Nothing is perfect. Men wrote it. Men decided which stories go into it. How can it possible be perfect. No way. Besides Christianity is a joke.
Also, How many of these stories contradict each other. How can it be perfect if the stories dont even match. Look at Jesus's birth. One guy says it was an Angel, One guy says it was a star they followed. Thats why some people put a star on the top of thier tree at Christmas and some put an Angel. They cant even get thier stories straight. How can this book be beleived? Rediculous.

The Bible as it is written is 100% accurate, and God's word. Men's interpretation of what it says however could make things not so accurate. Imagine this if you will, prophetic sayings over many years ago are now coming true to this day. Also, despite how many times it has been tried to be disproven, there is no attempts that I have heard of so far that have been successful.

no, infaliible similarly means perfect and the history of the world proves that the bible has been altered, translated and retranslated because the inerrent translation before was judged in error. those that lead us cause us to err. it has always been the same. whereever satan is, there will be a servant of satan leading the sheep as though a true prophet. one error in bible translation comes from the fact that christians all believe God is invisible. (all the time) but men of holiness have always seen God. another error in history is the fact that the verse in john about the trinity, was added unto the bible till the year 1000! see bart erhman "jesus interupted" or take a Seminary degree.

To Nikki~

If different translations translate to different meanings....that would imply that each copy is not the same- that it has been altered by man...fallible creatures...so therefore cannot in the truest sense be considered perfect (can it be less than 100% to be perfect) and infallible.

And to the person that said God wrote it....wrong again...it was written by the disciples... if it had been written by God, there would not be the need of so many books and differing interpretations of the same occurrence.

its very easy to pick and chose things out of the bible that contradict itself or are false, thereby making it perfectly clear that the bible is NOT perfect and infallible. Science also has an easy time proving many things and concepts in the bible to be false.

This is amazing...I cannot believe that ANYONE, much less several people, could possibly answer that question with a "Yes"...it's just sad. I hope that someday you people learn to think for yourselves, and if you don't, that your progeny do...

There is no way that ANYTHING created by humans (of any era, do you forget that we're talking about people who were 1000+ years from the printing press???) and interpreted by humans can be infallible...I applaud your faith, but you can still be faithful with your eyes open...

May god awaken you...

no I dont. Take the story of Adam and eve for instance...the first man and woman. Now, if they were the only reproducing couple on the face of this earth, wouldn't that make every single one of us inbred? I think that maybe lessons can be taken from the bible, but I am pretty sure everything didn't go down like it was written!

I believe it! Why? Because I faith. Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Haven't there been times when you really needed or wanted something? You didn't know how you were going to obtain it, but it happened without the slightest trace of how it happened. That's the power of faith in God.That's why I believe the Bible. Somebody up there loves me and I love Him!!!
