Yes, it should. It's just like a blind person having a seeing eye dog. Some autistic children do extremely well with a service dog and it changes the world for them and their families.

A service dog should be allowed ANYWHERE. That is the law. Someone with a service dog must be allowed in and service animals cannot be banned from restaurants, stores etc.

I would say yes, but it would prob depend on exactly how the dog helps the child. I thought all service dogs were allowed in schools.

yes. Failing to allow the dog in would be a violation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (two FEDERAL laws).

You know there are a whole lot of people that are 1. not as bright as a service dog, and 2. Are VERY ignorant regarding dogs.
Stores will let people bring their kids into them, coughing, and touching things with secretions on their hand. but not allow dogs, as a "health hazard". Humans get 1,000 times the disease from each other, that we get from dogs.

duh!!! there are after school programs for children who need extra help in their subjects, and school busses for children who live far from home, and free metrocards for children who need them. why not allow an autistic child to have a service dog assist them in school?
