Yes I have- in nursing school I saw several. In fact, prior to that I really had no opinion one way or the other. But, after seeing it, it made me think that unless it is important to you for religious reasons, there is absolutely NO medical reason to do this. I know several adult men who are uncircumcised and they have had no problems with hygiene at any point in their lives, so those who say that are wrong. When my husband and I had a baby boy, we chose to not put him through the unnecessary pain of circumcision, and we are so proud. I think many ppl do it because we just view it as what everyone else does, and we don't want our child to be different. I am so glad we didn't do it- and after I spoke to my best friend about it, she and her husband realized it was unnecessary and they didn't have it done with their baby boy either! Lastly, before we left the hosp, every Dr. that saw our baby exclaimed how pleased they were that we didn't have our son circumcised! It was a good decision. Don't do it because everyone else does, or your parents disapprove. When they do it, the baby is restrained in a special contraption and it hurts the baby. They SCREAM and it bleeds- it's so barbaric and awful. You wouldn't dream of harming your newborn, so I just don't know why we Americans treat this as a medical procedure- because it's not- it's a religious ritual. Well, that's my spiel!

nicely, a minimum of your decision. flow to Yahoo seek, video clips and seek Mathew's Circumcision. this provides you with a concept of what a surgical circumcision is and how long for it to heal. It shows a guy who have been given one and photoed what it regarded like, consisting of his discomfort, over 8 months.

Possibly on TV once but not in real life.

Although I once heard a kind of funny but also unlucky story about this couple.

He was either non-religious or Christian or something.

She was Jewish.

He loved her so much that he got himself Circumcised and I presume became Jewish as well.

Awww how sweet I hear you say ... well, erm, hmmmm.

2 weeks later they split up!!!!!

I use to assist my doctor in performing circumcisions on newborns at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. (Before any of you say that it's cruel, babies are very resilient! Trust me, they have to be! The birth experience is ruff on the baby as well as the mother!)
