The Bible does point towards one church, the structure is set forth in the Bible.

That is a good question, but you'd have to have an open mind to understand the answer. I have lived in Peru, Chile, Turkey, Pakistan, Germany, and the United States, and for me there is no one true religion, but there is one and only one God.

Many of any one religion will tell you that their religion is the one true religion, but I do not believe that to be true. However, I do believe Christ, Mohammed, Buddha, Confucius, etc...all existed and influenced what people in different parts of the world would believe in, especially to set a standard of what we, as human beings, should do to live our lives and to understand who we are and our purpose in life, including the meaning of life.

Even though many would proclaim that the Bible, the Koran, and/or any religious text was inspired by God, the fact is that all of them reflect a point of view and are books, material books, just as any other book that has ever been written. They were all written when the world was a much different place than the world we live in today. Organized religion and human spirituality are not the same thing, but religion is a guide to the meaning and definition of the human spirit.

There is some excellent wisdom in any of the religious books written, but there are some serious contradictions between what is expressed in one versus the other. This is for you to decipher and determine what is appropriate and true for you.

Regardless of what you believe in, whether you are a Christian, a Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, etc...the fact remains that you are just as much a human being as anyone else regardless of what part of the world you live in or what you believe in.

There is and always will be a great deal of conflict and confusion regarding what may be the one true religion, if there is one, because not only did God create all men and women as equal, but God created all men and women to be different.

If you believe the Bible then you have to believe that Christianity is the true religion because Jesus says He's the only way to get to God (John 14:6). And believing in Him is the only way to have eternal life (John 3:16; John 17:3).

I don't know that the Bible actually states that in so many words, but it does indicate that only one God can be worshipped. It states that Jesus, alone, is the only way to enter the kingdom of God, so to Christians, that eliminates every other religion in the world.

Trouble is, you have many other religions making similar claims for their gods! They believe that only THEY know the true path to heaven, and they have their own scriptures to prove it. Now, if we were to believe every single one of these theists--simply taking their religious claims at face value--and observe how every group of theists claims that every other group is not going to heaven...then the logical conclusion is that NOBODY is going to heaven! Nobody is "saved," nobody knows the true god, nobody has got it right.

Frankly, I think you're better off rejecting all of them. If a god exists and is really as powerful as every believer says it is, then it knows where you are and what kind of proof you need to know that it exists. Not just BELIEVE, but KNOW. Believing is for people who don't know; knowing is for people who have proof and can show it to others. So far, I have not seen or met such a person.

I love all of the Christians saying that the Bible makes the one true religion Christianity...wow, you mean the Christian Bible says that? No way...

All of the other religions have holy scriptures too, there's nothing that proves one any more valid than the other...

the Bible states there is one TRUE God.

Jesus (Christ) is the human manifestation of this God, and thus his followers "Christians" (the true ones!) are the only real religion.

If you're asking which is the true denomination, I don't think any of them have it completely right...however, there are a few that are worthy to be called "Christians" (literally meaning 'followers of Christ')

I'm not their judge...nor do I claim to completely understand everything I've read in the Bible...but I am a "Christian" and I do understand that God doesn't want idolatry.

God Bless.

Where did you find that in the Bible? I'm not saying that you are wrong or anything, I am just interested to know. It might say a little after where is says that, which on it is. I believe Christianity is, but other people may think differently.

The sacred book of MOOGIE says the same thing only the reverse and with many qualifications. It is written in poetic metaphor so it takes lots of interpretation and the ultimate interpreter can be reached at (419) 555-1212. A charge of $15.00 per minute applies with a 100 minute minimum. Have a nice day.
This is as clear as it gets.

The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as "a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life."

Christianity, accoring to the Bible, is the one true way. If you are referring to Methodists, Baptists, Catholics, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, etc., those are divisions within Christianity, but, for all intents and purposes, are the same (if their doctrines do not match the Bible, their doctrines are wrong).
