Everyone tells me I am politically incorrect with what I ask here. SO WHAT!! Im not here to be politically correct. Neither should you guys. Thats why I ask questions. I read a verse in Quran (4:34) that says: "As to those women on whose part you fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, advise them, refuse to share their beds, and beat them"

In the explanation for that verse, there was a story about a woman who complained to prophet Muhammed that her husband had beaten her and then god revealed that verse to prophet Muhammed so that he returned her back saying that he can not do nothing for her because that was the ruling from god.

If this is the case, why Muslim apologists tell us that beating wives is not allowed in Islam?

I have a 9 month old son. I wonder sometimes if I handle compliments regarding him properly. If someone says directly to me "Oh, he's so cute" I, of course, respond by saying "Thank You." But what if they are looking at/talking to him and say "Oh, you are just so cute!" Should I say thank you? Sometimes it just seems inappropriate. Obviously he can't reply so what is the right thing to do? Looking for serious suggestions only please...

This is just typical of the british weather!

I'm ready for the off... i'm dying to get out of this aweful country...

highly taxed... to have three days of summer a year... what a rip off...

why would anyone want to come and live in the uk... or even come on holiday here?

Noah survived the flood and lived for another 350 years. His sons, his wife, and their wives were with him.

So the questions are:
Where did all these people come from to form several major cities and countries in just 100 years, when the population at the start was eight?
How could people come up with different religions in such a short time, with the direct beneficiaries of God's "gentle mercy" still living and able to speak about what happened, and all the evidence for the flood directly visable?
