yes you can kill harmfull creatures of god, and so that to protect your self, and others, but it would be better if you could throw the small creature away and not to kill it.
THAT is if you can.

Human's kills bugs because they dislike them at appearance or afraid the bugs
are dangerous and may hurt them. People been killing bugs since the beginning of
creation. Being religion has nothing to do with killing something that will hurt you.
Bugs carry diseases and can be deadly when bitten by them. Futhermore our body
has automatic reflexes when it comes to protecting ourselves from anything that
will hurt us, especially bugs of any nature. If being religion and you think killing
God's creature is wrong then you would have been dead a long time ago and many
other people also. Thank God that some people do not kill them and are attacked
by these creatures and need medical help right away. Hope this answer was of
help for you. God Bless.

I believe the Lord would agree that certain insects (like a plague of locust) are OK to get rid of from time to time.
I try not to kill insects (or other creatures - snakes, coyotes, etc.) that are not hurting anything. If the creature is endangering people and they cannot be removed in a humane manner ... well ... certain deeds must be done. ;-)
But just because I see a spider doesn't mean I'm going to kill it. I may try to encourage it to NOT live in my house ... but it's not an immediate death penalty for them.

yes, I am religious and I kill bugs. True they are Gods creatures, but anything that can harm me or spread disease is fair game. I have a right to defend myself against all creatures. My life and wellbeing is just as if not more important than an insects... Unless you are Hindu....they believe in reincarnation and your ex mother in law just may be that cockroach struggling to go to the next plane of existance.

A) Not if they're Jains, they don't.
B) They're a part of that creation over which God gave us dominion and therefore we have the final sayso in how to treat them. You should not go about indiscriminately squishing bugs just because you can, but if they threaten your life, your health, your home or property or kids, then smush them.

According to religious people, you can sacrifice anything, even your own life for what god wants.
It isn't a sacrifice if you are trading up for what you most value, in this case it would be for what god wants. Anything he deems evil in the supernatural world.
They claim that we are all are born evil, so this gives you permission to punish yourself by accepting faith as your best tool for seeing reality.
Like wearing a blindfold while driving a car. Now that would be a self sacrifice!

Some bugs such as cockroaches spead disease and are considered vermin and it is fine to kill them. The others can be shooed out of the house.
