This urban legend that Hitler was an atheist is a flat out lie. He also often gets pegged as an 'Occultist' but this isn't true either. Heinrich Himmler (leader of the SS) was an occultist and brought some of that into their ceremonies.
However, Hitler was a Christian. As a young boy he was an altar boy in a Catholic church. “I had excellent opportunity to intoxicate myself with the solemn splendor of the brilliant church festivals. As was only natural, the abbot seemed to me, as the village priest had once seemed to my father, the highest and most desirable ideal.” -Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)
He was also partially inspired in his anti-Jewish beliefs by christianity:
"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter."

It is taught that Jesus is God. But John 17:3 identifies the Father as the only true God to the exclusion of everything else. We all know that Jesus is not the Father. How can Jesus be called God when the Father is the only true God?

Why is it that when this country was founded it was founded on God, and now over 400 years later people who continue to keep it going (tax payers) dare to question and speak against it's foundation? Yeah, I know we have freedom of speech, but doesn't questioning God in anyway make an individual anti-American?

And then they start persecuting other peoples religions? This not aimed at all Christians because I know a lot of them don't do this.

I was wondering about male weight lifters and drag queens. They seem to be at equal ends of the male extreme. Both groups are male but one dresses like a lady (in gowns I couldn't even think of getting into she says a tad jelously) and the other pumps up to huge proportions. What does the Community think about these boys?
This was a question I've been thinking about for awhile and have found no good way of phrasing it.
Serious responses only and NO religious answers. I don't want to hear it, please.
If you're only after the points you will be set upon by a group of cranky squirrells that will steal your credit cards and run up huge peanut bills.

I'm working on a novel where much of the story is based inside a cathedral and where a significant character's father is a priest.
I think I read once in certain places there was a certain member (members...?) of the clergy who lived in this little building next to a church (or might've been cathedral). In short, building for living in next to church or cathedral. What's it called and who lives in it? Do they even live in those any more?
