I don't think there is an actual "devil". I think the "devil" is a just a way for us to apply a bad face to evil acts. I think humans need God as humans have been worshipping dieties for tens of thousands of years and nearly 90% of the world believes in a diety in some form.

Yes, we need God in our lives! Actually everything that exists on the planet is made by God. And the devil is God's work. He is not a person as much as he is a seducer of our thoughts and mind-sets. God is the one we should be focused on. Good always overcomes evil. Evil comes from the hearts of men that have been seduced by the god of this world, knowedge, fame, power and money.

Yes, We would need God even if there was no Satan. Humans are evil (sinful) by nature, the devil can only tempt us to do wrong.
We need God in our lives because he made us for Himself. Now before you ask, I am a Christian, but I don't believe in religion, I just believe the Bible is 100% true. If you have anymore questions or if you diagree with me, reply back. Have a great day!

Yes we need God. Satan left Him and took 1/3 of the angels with him from heaven. Evil was formed when Adam and eve took a bite from the forbidden tree. They were tempted by a snake, who was being inhabited by Satan. Even if adam and eve had not sinned, someone would have. God knew all of this would happen, that is why he sent his Son Jesus to the earth to preach and teach the gospel and to die for EVERYONE'S sins. No matter what you have done in the past, God will forgive you. Just pray ti him and ask for His forgivenss and He will forgive.

Lets apply a little logic here. The devil(lucifer) was created by God. He is a fallen angel. The placement of your question implies the devil is before God. To answer your question, yes we would need God, He created us to have a loving replationship with him, not to subject us to evil.

What we need is a new moral outlook on life, without having to have "faith" in a higher power, or lower.
I'm an atheist, through and through, but I tend to be more strict with my morals. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, and I'm waiting to get married before I have sex. Most of society isn't like that. Furthermore, I know plenty religious people who aren't even like that.
We don't need to believe in something like God or the Devil in order to live our lives happy. God created Man because Man created God. Someone to blame our problems on. Someone to answer all the questions that we just can't seem to answer.

Your question reminds me of a book: crime and punishment. One goes with the other. The answer to your question is found in God's promise that only after death we will live with Him(God) in a place where there is no sickness, no pain, no ache. God will reign but the devil eventhough absent from this place, the name of God will still be needed and in His glory, we will worship Him.

There would also be a balance if neither existed. Although without the devil there would be no faith, there would still be followers, a nearly innumerable amount at that.
