I don't feel that you are taking away jobs from Americans at all. Most Americans regardless of gener or race only worry about those that enter the country and are involved in illegal activities. I have no problem with those that come here just because this country has more opportunities than their own country. I don't like to see people come over here though that abuse the system or partake in illegal activity.

I being a White Woman, married to a Mexican man feel nothing but love.. but for all races and colors, not just Mexican. No I do not feel Mexicans are taking other people's jobs in an unfair way.. it is really the employers issues because they are the ones that ,in say the agriculture field, want to save a bucka nd hire cheap labor and I do not know many of my firends and associattes who work work in those conditions for that long of a time for that pay. White people(or other races other than Mexican) seem to feel entitled to a higher wage for doing the same work the Mexican immigrant does. We as whites, or anyone for that matter, are not enitled to anything but a free life here in the USA and a job at minimum wage.. we are fortunate when an employer hires us at a higher wage but he DOESNT HAVE TO.
LOL I will step down from my soap box now. My husband is a professional chef and he has yet to take a job from a white person who can do it better than him.

I don't feel that way. America is a melting pot and the first immigrants that came here came from Britain, so hey-check your family trees everyone! The earliest people walked across the land bridge-we are all immigrants in a way because the first humans were created and placed in an area in/near Turkey-so we all had to get here somehow. All people are equal. I am second generation American-my grandparents immigrated here from Russia-they were Germans fleeing Hitler's regime-dad's side. Mom's side are English/Irish-who knows when they came here. The most important thing for us all is to do the best we can in life and treat people well. Why? BECAUSE NICE MATTERS

Hmm. I'm black and my parents migrated here from Trinidad so my view on immigrants might be different.
I view Mexicans as hard working and very family oriented. I see Mexicans in my neighborhood doing jobs that I would never do. I view Mexicans as very motivated and determined. I do not view Mexicans or any other immigrants as taking away jobs from non-immigrant Americans. There are very few non-immigrant Americans by the way.

I really don't think any differently about Mexicans than I do anyone else!
I know educated, professional Mexicans, Whites, Blacks and Asians.
I know lazy, welfare-check receiving Mexicans, Whites and... no, I guess I don't know any Asians on welfare! LOL I am sure there are some, I just don't know them! LMAO
Anyway... I am biracial (Blk/Wt) and I don't have any stereotypes against Mexicans, b/c I've lived in enough places to know that they are really no different than anyone else. I lived in TX for many years where I knew the most Mexicans and again... just like everyone else... some good some bad.

I have nothing against the hispanic people. They are a hard working people. In talking with a lot of white people, they are scared of the hispanic people because they do not always talk when spoken to, but I try to talk to anyone no matter who they are, so I sometimes drawn them out into conversation. I think they know that some people have a hatred for them and do not speak until they find out if we are friendly or what. We were all created equal and I think they deserve a chance just as much as the Afircan American people who were also brought to the US as slaves.

I have no problem at all with Mexicans as long as they are legal, and have the decency to learn English. If you are here legally, then you aren't taking jobs away from Americans because you are also an American now and jobs are for all Americans regardless of race. If you are here illegally, then you are taking work from an American who needs a job.

It has nothing to do with non-immigrants... if you really are a teacher then you prob live in California where the people are so backwards they dont know the diference between north and south.
The issue is:
#1: If you are illegal you do not pay taxes.
#2: You dont pay taxes but you demand free education for your kids.
#3: You flood our healthcare system and dont pay your bills causing health care costs to rise.
#4: You are here ILLEGALLY, and are breaking the law.
#5: You are demanding service/life in spanish and not english.
#6: You fly the Mexican Flag not the American one.
It is not a skin color/immigration issue... it is about people milking our country and then sending the tax free money back to mexico.
I do not have a problem with anyone from any country that wants to come here and pay taxes and be an american...
Leave your countries flag at home, pay taxes, and assimilate into our culture... if you cant do that, stay home and make your own country better.

I have no problem whatsoever with Mexican men (or women). I dont feel like Mexican immigrants take jobs from us. They hear this is the land of the free so they come here for a better life, they think it will be better than where they are from, so I cant knock them for tryin to make a better life. This aint our land anyway, this God land.

wow, you want to know what the white population thinks? i had no idea there were that many people on YA, and that's IN ADDITION to the black population! it's helpful that all white people think alike and that all black people think alike, but speaking as a person who is a kind of an off-shade of beige, i think an "educator" should ask a question that isn't so ignorant.
