So many say that "Christ died for us...for our sins so that we can get into heaven". "We were washed in the blood of the perfect lamb". "Our only salvation is through Christ".
But what does this actually mean?
Everyone of us sin everyday. Abraham, Noah, etc. had remarkeble faith in God. Nobody died for them so that they can have that faith. Heaven could not have been closed to them coz the Apostles saw Jesus with two figures(Elia & Moses, I think)
on the mountain.
Just bear with me, I can not see the reason for Jesus' death as atonement for our sins. It's completely against the Old Testament.
This 'new covenent' thing doesn't make sense either. I don't see any mention of it prior the crucifiction.
If would really like to get you guys' point of view.
