If you answer, 'I could tell you but I'd have to kill you,' slap yourself over the head.

FYI: (added after a dozen or so answers) I'm researching for my book - one of my characters asks exactly this question. I didn't think people would be rude or take it seriously at all. Amazing.

Same answer as for your last question. But I'd add that you'd also probably have a good rep with gun dealers/ gun show circuit if that was your weapon of choice so there's a word-of-mouth element there. And practically speaking, you'd have to set up an off shore account where funds could be deposited directly, a system of getting calls on disposable cell phones where you'd get the info and do the job once the fee's been wired over, etc. So the person who's hired you never actually knows who you are.

But I'm sure you've already found that out for yourself.....

No best place, puts you in danger of kooks. Check with recently returned private security from Iraq (ex south African police) they have good stories for you. If you're forming assassin characters, the rogue commandoes of the Mexican drug cartels, Los Zetas. If I were to chose, I'd pick a highschool age video gamer with a perfect score for head shots.

Assassins don't advertise, they get business via word of mouth. That way everyone who passes you business is directly vouching for the customers' validity.
If you advertised what's stopping an undercover cop from nabbing your a**!

"Evil B*stards Monthly" of course. Try in the "Henchmen Wanted " section. It's $200 a line, but worth it to put yourself above the "Grunt and hit" brigade who can't even shoot straight. Happy hunting!

Assassin don't advertise, they are hired contract killers who are known by people who live in that "underground world".
