Here's a variation - Copy a chunk of text (from anywhere) and move to Word, do a 'find and replace' to mix up all the vowels, then run spell check and then pick the wrong words. By repeating these steps a few times, the result can be hilarious.

oh my! i misunderstood your question at first to mean replacing words that are misspelled or misused. that is a huge issue for me. i've actually corrected love letters and sent them back to the sender.

but as for your actual question: i'm a teacher. there are times when i go through that process mentally just to be able to deal with the idiocies that are put before me by the students. however, i have never used the word erection. i prefer something more silly. honestly, i'm just too afraid of accidently saying the word aloud during class.
