You know what... ? To be honest I have always found that doing the research myself has always proven more useful. I remember what I look and and what I read and I know how in depth I have to go until I am satisfied.
So my question is this. Why do all of these people that have never read the Bible, or have only read bits and pieces have so many questions when it's the Living Word, they could pick it up and read it themselves. Besides. When you give them the answer they just want to argue with you anyway. So why don't they get off their lazy rear and read it themselves??

The Bible is a daunting literary work longer than War and Peace. It is written in a literary fashion that many people not raised int he church are unacustomed to. It can be intimidating to many non-believers and many of them are confused when they simply open it without a guideline or study guide. I would suggest that many people with religious questions start with a book by Josh McDowell or another reputable Christian author that allows them to better understand their Bible and the basic tenants of Christianity.

Hi JBW & CWW,
We can't help it but sigh over these people who are very argumentative with their little knowledge of the Bible. On the first place, they are not really interested in knowing the Living Word. They just want to argue and let Christians feel bad. And don't even think of giving them a Bible because they will not read it anyway.
So, maybe it will help if we just pray for them. The Holy Spirit will help them understand.
ALL THE BEST, my friend

Well i have read the Bible, The Quran, the teachings of Buddha and Krishna. I think before you start criticizing non-religious people make sure that you are not generalizing. If some-one is asking you a question on your beliefs, you should be happy they are interested and if they want to argue (or maybe it is discuss) what you have said well try your best to be tolerant and patient.
Try having a look at this site
http://www.constitution.org/scriptur.htm
It might broaden your horizons or atleast give you some understanding of others beliefs.

They like to debate and argue even though their minds are already made up. The word of God speaks against debates and arguments. Some people may be needing some opinions instead of the bible. I guess. The Pharisees and Scribes back in day knew the book of the laws but yet they still disagreed with Jesus and had him crucified.

I don't know, but its like some people want to pick a fight every time you mention the bible. Has anything else stood the test of time longer than the bible? Most people who argue against it haven't read it, if they had then they wouldn't argue it. When you read it, you believe it.

People are ignorant, and no amount of arguing over religion is gonna really fix whatever it is that's bugging them in the first place. What I realized, all the idiots that come on Yahoo and deliberately look through the religion questions for somebody to make fun of, are more pathetic than they know and beneath our contempt. God bless those idiots, they know who they are.

Because people want the quick fix. They don't really want the answer, they want the comfort of being told they are ok the way they are.
