If you had the chance to see the future, and see you die, and found out the cause of your death, would you see or would you refuse?

For me, I don't think I could handle it, I would become paranoid, or it may be something horribly perverse.

Give reasons on your answer.

I mean, I sort of know what psychology is. It's the study of the mind, like personality disorders. I'd appreciate a further definition, though. And what do psychologists do? Like, they just analyze you? How would they do this? And once they analyze you, what do they do? What about psychiatrists?

If so, do you find it helps you to understand yourself/life more?

What breakthroughs have you experienced?

Anything you'd like to share that was a wake-up call?

I have kept a dream journal for many years and love to look back on what I was dreaming when certain things were happening in my life.

For example; when my marriage was on the rocks, I had some very graphic bloody, violent dreams. Basically, that is what the relationship was doing to me, murdering my soul. Light bulb moment!

I´ve read authors that claim to have taken some of jung´s ideas
such as an influence from oriental spiritual practices, etc...
I´m looking for some traditional or alternative form of therapy that helps me work with my emotions as a way to better self knowledge and personal development

I get angry and annoyed so easily. When I am talking to my friends or when my parents ask me a very stupid question, I get very impatient and mad. My tone changes to very mean and awful. I just cannot stand it. I feel I get it from my mom. She is impatient and I think it rubbed off on me. I feel so mad at myself for being like this and I want to know how to control it. How do you normally control yourself?

Don't think I'm on some sort of high horse, I've experienced my fair share of jealousy.

But some people are mean about it. What's the best thing to do when people are jealous of you?

since HS ive had a big group of friends that is very diverse, not ethnicity-wise but personality-wise. We are so different, people noone would ever imagine would hang out with each other, theres the president of the Christian Club, an Atheist artist, theres the over achiever thats n every club, the slacker that disappears for months at a time, etc but somehow, we all got along perfectly and is able to stay close friends. within that group tho, we sometimes have our own little cliques, the ones that get along better with each other. My little group was perfect, i wasable to be exactly who i was and not be judged for it, we all talked crap and laughed, and, well we just had fun. After HS tho my little group within the group moved away, everyone moved to a different town and i was left here.

I am a woman..who cannot understand this guy I met recently in my job. We've often flirted before and had a connection..he even told me he was falling for me one day when we chatted..then one day you know kisses etc but not sex (he tried, but Im the type that waits a bit) . Seems like the usual start of something but yhe didn't contact me next day, or next day, or next day!! I contacted him and suggested meeting up...and he didn't reply...until a few days later & its too late as I had left my city to go back to mine. then he contacted me on and off but never talk about his feelings. now he is calling me to say he will come to see me (I live in another state) and I hear feelings in his voice. WHAT'S GOING ON IN THIS MAN'S HEAD? Is he a bit unstable? It seems strange to me. We have mutual friends and they think highly of him. Did he feel rejected when I didnt move as quickly as him physically?

I'm 20 - 5'8" - 135 lbs, and I have blond hair and a baby face. This is definately not the first post on the topic of being small and miserable. Most people respond by writing something along the lines of, "Women don't care about looks. Just personality." I think people are confusing how things should be with how they really are. The truth is- all the girls i've met aren't even willing to find out what kind of personality I do have. All of them are waiting for that tall, dark and handsome guy to come along and sweep them off their feet. I guess the message I am trying to send to all of you small guys out there is this: Yes, being small sucks. Other guys make fun of us, and the majority of women are only looking at the tall guy over our shoulders. It's a fact of life, which nobody can deny! All we can do is try to bulk up, or pray to God for a miracle.

Does anyone have some input? I'd really like to know what the girls out their have to say.

I tend to talk too much too fast - and I try to relax and make an effort to listen more and talk slower. but I still get myself into trouble, and I often share way more than I want to share. It isn't a good thing. A lot depends on the comfort level I have with the person I'm talking with..
I am a man, but in general I'm far more comfortable talking to women.
not sure why.

What is the difference between psychology, philosophy and religion? Do you think that psychology is like astrology on the middle ages (that was even taught at Universities)

Thank you

I am a 13 year old girl and I have horrible acne. It makes me sad. But the reason the acne is there is because I pick it. I can't stop because I unconciously do it when I stress, or read, or do boring stuff.
I tried creams, but it didn't work. My parents are angry because I can't to that simple thing, and think I have a sort of issues. They say I can't control my actions, which is...scary.
I cry everyday, but crying doesn't help. Please help me!!!
I need it.

Thank you! I am grateful!
