I have come to believe that happiness is a decision one makes rather than the result of life's circumstances being so great. I made this decision to live a happy life when I was 42 years old after I'd spent too much time bemoaning all the sludge I'd slogged through in my life. My circumstances didn't change but I did!!! It's now 24 years later and I still have challenges and disappointments but I am a happy woman with a great love for life and I'm still a happy person!

I think it helps to be a person that thinks positively but I dont know it is all a state of mind. I think its about figuring about what you really want inside and trying to make that happen. I think a balance in life helps too, not to much focus on just one thing and definitely keeping busy is part of the solution. Just my opinion all of this, but definitely doing things for others too is part of it.
