Its been a while now that I seem to have lost almost all my emotions. Nothing bad has happened to me or anything like that. I'm just very indifferent about everything that is going on in my life. All food taste the same, everything is dull, I never really get excited about anything anymore. I was in a relationship with a girl and that didn't help much either. I think I am getting bored with life or maybe I am expecting too much from it? Even though I have a normal social life but I enjoy doing things alone like reading, writing or drawing. In fact I avoid some of my friends sometime just to have time to myself.

Is there any way for me to feel again?

Advertisers use it all the time. Seems like when I buy a little more, I end up not using some of the things or throwing perishable items out that spoil. Does this happen to you? How true is this statement?

Should I Bother Having Manners: Please, Thank You.?
Yes, I was raised to have manners, plz, T.U. Sorry. All that. Now, I am getting upset at the people who DON'T have manners. Please be honest in answering this.

Should I stop being polite, because they say if you do use manners you are wasting your time and rude people don't know what they mean because mom and dad never taught them. Why should I waste my breath and time?

Do manners get you promotions or anything in life, or get you the person of your dreams? No. I don't think so.

I have a pornstar acquaintance who makes a decent buck off it. And there are several Yahoo groups built around the theme.

I have personally experienced "Breathtaking Beauty" as a literal thing. An instant of longing so intense that it causes the diaphragm to spasm with the force of a physical blow. Could it be a desire to relive that experience or kindle it in others?

Or is there some other psychological, physiological or cultural reason?

I am!

I don't hoard junk. I collect lots of things that truly do interest me, and things that I enjoy in one way or another, as do many other so-called "hoarders". I love wind chimes, for example, and have a bunch of them. I also love books about various subjects (all of which I read). And I adore "nick nacks" that light up, make noises, and do other things. I'm a movie "nut".... I have many DVDs and VHS tapes, and I look forward to watching as many of them as I can when I have free time. I still have lots of childhood toys, photos, clothing, and so forth, and I'm overjoyed each time I dump it all out and reminisce as I look through all my "treasures".

How can this be an illness? Why do people refer to it as such? As I said, I don't hoard junk. How can the things I have mean that I'm ill if I'm happy and if my home is clean and organized?

I feel that she is trying to get rid of me, without being honest and upfront about it. Perhaps she does not want to work with me, but won't say it.

Could this be true, or more likely my issue arising?

I'm 29 and turning 30 in October. I feel like I'm looking ahead and able to see the stop sign now, almost like I could have or should have done more in my life. Well, I DO have a child (a 3 year old) so I know I have done some things great.

Tell me, is it just me or is my age considered "old", or an age where I'm "past my prime". I don't know if other people feel this or if it is just me.

What steps could one take to regain thier psychological youth again, or should I forget about it and just focus on aging.

Perhaps, I have a problem here...somebody slap me or something, I don't know.

Get back. Any comments are appreciated.

I just read an article discussing how people (women moreso) are viewed as less nice when they ask for what the want. In this particular article it was dealing with salary. I thought that it was interesting that in knowing what you want and asking for it you are considered less nice.
I have been called mean before and I don't understand why, I don't intend any harm on people and most of the times I am called mean I'm just protecting my own rights.

I guess my questions is it a bad thing to ask for what you want?

It seems like that I am always angry and nothing I do helps. I will engage in some of my favorite activities and that helps for a short while and then I am back to being angry. I do not really understand why I am angry. I have some things on my mind, however, it should not be enough to make me feel like this.
