..... first memory in some way or another was a slight indication or a large indication as to the kind of person you were to become (personality wise)

I think yes, but I think it depends on your first memory and what it was and what your age is, im a guy im 20 and my first memory is when it was my 4th birthday party and the party that I had.

The party itself isnt my first memory, Its me waiting in the hall by the entrance to the room and the bouncy castle I had was at the back of the hall and im waiting by the door (im only 4) all little and cute, waiting for my friends to come with their mums and or dads dropping them off to my party and giving me my presents, I was the doorman at the start of my own party lol
but I remeber waiting for my gf at the time if you can call having a gf at 4years old hehe

I remeber waiting and waiting and she finally arrived with her mum and I remeber her smile and her dress she wore and through out my party we held hands ALL afternoon and....

I remember being in school and being bullied and persecuted by almost everyone. It's seemed a bit unrealistic, because you would think that someone would care.

However, in that environment it appeared to be a helpless and Godless place. Reports of abuse go unnoticed or unreported, and it seems as if the teachers ans staff don't do anything about it. I lived thru such an even.

I would always ask myself, are people this cruel? Even the girls would join in the abuse. Why are kids so cruel, I always asked, but it doesn't end at the class room. It seems that people just like to have a person to pick on, or bully around.

As a victim to this unnecessary violence, I often wonder... Isn't this type of abuse "sick"? What about when the person being abused is finally fed up? Who do they lash out on, especially with so many people involved in the abuse?

Does anyone know what it's like to feel like the whole world is against you? Was the "VA.Tech Shooter" really the sick individual here, or us?

Could you accuse me of overeacting? Please say in an unpatronising way. Thank you.

At school yesterday we were asked (as the older students) what issues we believed needed to be addressed to students at my school.

Everyone of us said we believe suicide needs to be talked about. Espcially because last year we hate more than 10teenagers commite suicide.

We were told than suicide couldn't be talked about at school because some studies have shown that talking about suicide can give people ideas kill themselves.

I personally believe this is crap! We should talk about our problems. Keeping them inside of us is going to make those who are suicidal more so. Those teenagers who took their lives last year didn't talk to anyone and know look where they are!

Does anyone else think it's bull???

Do you have any statistics that differ?

Any suggestions of how we can educate without 'giving teens' suicidal thoughts?

i've lost my mother 8 months ago and now my brother again. Untill now i am still in denial stage. asking so many questions? why these things happened to us? why we need to go through such very drastic fate? i feel unloved by God, i am in withdrawal stage now. i dont want to talk to anybody else only my family member. I envy people around me, who wear sweet smiles, and it seems they have no problems. It seems they are happy always, unlike me. So many trials that i think never over, and no ending. i feel so bitter. i dont like to talk to friends, because they will asked what happened, and i hate to remember the pain. Why?????

Are we prepared as a country to deal with the mental health issues that many of the US soldiers will have when they return from the war? Are there programs in place to help them get acclimated to being back home after being away for so long? What percentage of troops return from any war with mental health issues? Thanks

I don't know if I'm psychic. What I do know is that I get these "feelings" about things sometimes. For instance, a friend told me that she wanted to go to see a movie one night, and I told her that I didn't think that it was a good idea. My stomach just started chruning, and I felt sick. Right in front of the movie theater, there was a six car pile up.
A week ago, I kept having the same nightmare that my dad got hit by a car. I'm not very close to him, but it still worried me, so I asked my mom to call him, and see if he was alright. She called him the next day, and he said he was fine.
Earlier today, I got a call from my sister, saying that my dad was in the hospital. He wasn't hit by a car, but he was working on a car and the radiator blew up in his face.
Things like this happen often enough for me to feel a little awkward.
I'm not saying that I am psychic but I was just curious if anyone knew if there were signs that you are..
Anything will help but please only serious answers!

A friend of mine had her son taken away from her, when he was a few months old, about 8 yrs ago. She can't see him or get recent pics of him (He went to family on his dad's side). I just found a few pics of the baby and some with her and him together. It KILLS her to basically not have a son anymore. Do you think it would "hurt" her in a way if I were to send her the pictures?
