It will help! Loneliness can be a very difficult thing to handle and also keeping negative thoughts at bay. The busier you stay the better you will feel. Keep your mind occupied with hobbies, reading or just get out and take a walk. You may also consider doing some volunteer work. It really helps to help others and will take your mind off of your own negative thoughts.

Hi,
I don't know what you mean by "bad" thoughts. You may be experiencing some paranoid thoughts about people around you or negative impressions about yourself. Those kind of thoughts and the lack of interest you describe sounds like depression to me.
You might benefit from seeing a psychiatrist. Pills aren't always the answer. They can help you out of a depression which can cause lack of interest and negative thoughts.
Good Luck

get a little black book or calendar and jot down things that you're going to do on certain days (in the future) whether its laundry, go see blah blah blah movie, do this, go here. and also write down nice things like "pay day!!" so you have some things to look forward to. i agree with volunteering and taking some kind of classes also. you'll meet great people at those things. you can take dance classes or even like kick boxing or something. that will help a lot if you get some exercise. i promise. also, go to the library and check out a BUNCH of books and read them all. if you like your job see if you can work overtime. try to get out as much as you can and be around people. i wouldn't suggest getting a really needy pet until you can take better care of yourself, though. maybe a kitten. kittens make me happy. you can also see a therapist, they will give you many ideas to help stay positive. it's good that you're trying now. that's step 1. good luck! :)

I sometimes feel the same way, and it's a horrible feeling, thinking that you're alone and that no one cares. A good way to keep yourself happy is to keep busy, maybe meet up with old mates. Plan something, whatever you do doesn't have to be big or exciting, but plan to do something and do it! Think about the people that care about you, not who doesn't. Try and tell yourself that things could be a lot worse.

you need to meet people- get a hobby (learn to dance, there's always a shortage of men at these lessons), go to evening classes, or go swimming- exercise is good for you, and will make you will less miserable. Smile at people, indulge in "small talk", do some voluntary work. Anything to meet others

what bad thoughts..?? i always find that my friend helps to get rid of them by always bein opptimistic but real... if ur lonely write, read, dont watch tv it sucks.. play lots of sports.. i swear sports always keeps bad thoughts out and get rid of my loneliness cos it gives u a sense of belonging and a goal to improve urself.. it brings better character too.. i find that once your expert at certain things even hobbies lik art.. u tend to enjoy them... write opinions to papers or magazines to feel like your part of a community.. or jus chill out and sit in a public place and listen to music.. its amazin.. u can just lose urself in a crowd with no one to judge u cos u dont know anyone... or just go for a cycle ride..

Socialize, sweety!
Make a habit of staying productive during the week and make it a point to go to at least one concert/show/party/group recreational event each weekend.
