I was born with non-advantitious Grapheme → color synesthesia, which means I was born with a condition which causes me to view the world through different perspectives than most people. I associate numbers and letters through colors and certain times illicit certain emotions in me. I was just wanting to find out if anyone else had this condidtion. When did you realize you had it? Does it affect you life at all?

He won't go to a psychologist. He says that he is helpless and that he's a "bad gene."

There is this guy I know and he is about 28. He dropped out of college because his anxiety was very sevear back then. He keeps thinking that people in his family suffer from mental illnesses, but I think it's all in his head. Can't people live a normal life even when they suffer from anxiety? I think if he really wanted to he could get out of it. It's been years, and he doesn't go out of the house. He is never around people other than his family. He doesn't work and I'm guessing that he wants to spend his entire living behind closed doors. I'm just saying that it's easy to simply say that you have problems. It's easy to make excuses. I'm much younger than him. I want him to see the world. I would consider schizephrenia to greatly interfere with someones everyday life. Something must have happened to this kid. Something traumatic. Any advice?

felt like you were falling for them all over again? May be you should/shouldn't. Why should your heart rule your head can you change that? Is it a matter of self control or does the heart over come even the strongest of us?

If the majority of Iraqi's are against us then we are not giving them a choice.
I was taught that the seed of democracy was freedom to choose.
Are we telling the Iraqi people that we're taking away their old choices and making them conform to our way of thinking?
What does that that make us?

i live in a one bedroom flat by myself. working through psychiatric problems. im 29. ive never really had any friends. im close to my mum, i speak on the phone couple of times a day. because of the great deal of anxiety i have i dont go out anywhere. i dont own much cept this computer. when im alone here lonely everynight in my flat, my thoughts keep spinning around, i ponder and worry, will my life come together? will i meet friends a girlfriend? how long will i have to wait? the pain of loneliness is tremendous, especially when, you want a life, love and happiness. i feel so in desperate need of those things. i have a very low self esteem so that always ruins things, every girl or person i try to talk to, never works. they seem to pick up how i feel about myself and my life. and it fails. i keep wondering when will my life come together, when will i have friends and a life and achieve things? because of my low self esteem i look in the mirror an i dont like the way i look

Be sure to give your explanation of "why" you chose these parts rather than others. (only various parts of the brain can be used.)

Again, I see flashing "static" in every color everywhere. It tends to ring around most inanimate things in a cool turquoise color and around people in pink, vibrant red, sickly green, and a whole range of other colors. These dots are everywhere, even in pitch blackness. Does anyone know anything regarding this? Does anyone know any websites I can look at to learn about this? Another thing, I'm a teenager, not an eighty-year-old year old with eye damage or anything. These dots are tiny, and when I was little I thought I was seeing germs because they were so small and moved around so fast. It is getting worse. Should I be worried? What is it? Please help me.

Ok so today during one of my basically free periods one of the really weird kids came up to me. I was trying to do my math homework but he wouldn't leave me alone. I whacked him with my math book (dont worry it wasn't a textbook) over and over but he still wouldn't leave me alone. Then as I'm trying to ignore him he tells me we're supposedly married. He said it was a drunk night in vegas and I wasn't to be held responsible. He also said we had a kid. HOW ON EARTH DO YOU REACT/RESPOND TO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!?!?!?!?!

Like all drugs and alcohol any and all mind altering substances? Just take a pill that normalizes or corrects to original state and without dependency? Has anyone ever tried? Think about it your walking down the street and you see a junky shooting up and begging you for a dollar you give him a pill and free his mind allowing him to use his free will without influence he can not control! That would be amazing!
but has anyone ever tried??
