3 months ago I told my girlfriend I wanted some time apart because things were moving fast, and we were getting pretty serious. My girlfriend was very upset, but I insisted and we didnt see each other for a month. When I realized how much I loved her I asked her to take me back. At first she was still angry at me, but after a few weeks she finaly took me back.We are happy for the past two months, but last week I asked if she had dated anyone while we were apart - I did not.I found out she not only did date but she even slept with someone she knows from her gym and someone from her work, she says for about 3 weeks she had regular sex .The past few days I have been trying to hold in my jealousy.I know it is my fault and I gave her the freedom, but how do I get rid of my rage without showing it to my girlfriend?I have been asking her details of what happened and we have talked, and i feel i need to know altho its hard. i let her know it is ok to talk about enjoying the sex. am i ok?

I read a study into the primitive desires in heterosexual relationships. A male looks for a healthy attractive female, as he is after a female who is capable of giving birth to a healthy child. The female is looking for a male who is powerful and relates well to other males - the primitive forces here are that the male needs to protect the female and baby from predators etc.

Given the above, what primitive instincts are in place when a homosexual male looks for another male? Also, what about a bisexual male who looks for either men or women?

This is not a homophobically intended question. Any answers preaching religion or homophobia/biphobia are not welcome.

Many times when I am alone I talk out loud about my thoughts. It has never bothered me because it does help me to process what I am thinking about. Some say this is crazy ... not me

Answers like "you can't" only show lack of imagination and knowledge.

The problem: I don't want much in life. I figured I can really do wonders when I want something and go for it. Like, I'm an A+ student in a college, got a black belt in taekwondo in under 3 years just because was really interested in it. Yet these are rare cases, and since I don't want much, I don't do much. I seem to have what I need, I rarely go outside my comfort zone, since I feel there's no need to do that, and I don't want to create stress in my life. I seem to make it written all over my mind that challenge=fight against something, so I don't like it. I actually think that this could be a part of the problem but I also know that there's more to it.

From analyzing myself, I've come to a conclusion that I don't really care for things if they're outside of my interest zone. But I go through like a bulldozer if it's something I like.

Who are you -- to answer anything I might ask?
Yes, you, who are you?
[[[[[As of me, who am I to ask you who you are, and if you know who you are, what serves as the foundation of your identity cognition, is it pure logic inference? Is it concrete, almost mathematical derivatives?
And, if you have any concrete answers, tell me why you do not ask yourself why mankind does not reduce its population to 20% of its actual number, even if it means that YOU would be one of those of the billions comitted to be disposed of.
And, blah, blah, blah...(ad infinitum)]]]]]

Does this man sound like he may fit the criteria, if not of Avoidant Personality Disorder, than of the Avoidant Attachment style in romantic relationships? He is in his 30s and lives with his mother. He has no avoidance when it comes to friendships with other males, but with women, he tends to become interested in women who are unavailable or unattainable. Either because they are already in a relationship or because they live in another country or state. When he does become involved with a local woman, he has erectile dysfunction the first time they become intimate. His relationships consistently only last a month, and they are few and far between. He does not approach women, he waits for them to approach him to initiate a r/ship. And then when any problem that arise in the relationship, he blames the women and becomes cold and critical. Thanks!!

I've looked up some test to do on sexual deviancy and I don't think he fits most of the situations, but he does pick fights with me about other stuff (not really what he's mad about) if he goes too long without us having sex. He does have unnatural desires (nothing illegal) The things he doesn't fit are spending money and job interference for his sexual habits.
I actually have a child with him and keeping up with his demands have gotten really hard.(We were having sex sometimes 2 or 3 times a day) I would have sex just to "stay out of trouble". Once I confronted him with my thoughts he did agree (to a certain extent) that he has sexual issues. He's been trying so hard and doing a wonderful job not being so demanding but I'm concerned because I found out recently that his sister was an exotic dancer and onwed one of those (male only) tanning salons. She's now a teacher and highly religious but I'm wondering what in their childhood might have affected them this way?

In regards to the reliability of the human senses the author says that, baring some isolated and specific exceptions, they are remarkably reliable. Unlike the lecture, the author talks about the adaptability of senses. He gives us the example of studies that take place with volunteers wearing goggles that distort there vision. During these studies after time the volunteers are able to cope effectively. He contributes this to learning and experience being a major factor in the development of perceptual abilities. He continues on the subject by talking about Jesus healing a blind man. With just vision, but no visual experience our brains don’t know how to cope. On the topic of pain the author show the great importance of our largest sense organ, skin. He explains the importance of it due to the development of infants, but he spends more time on the topic of pain. Though most of us don’t like pain the author shows us that without it we would severely damage our bodies. Pain receptors in our skin warn us that we are going to do damage and motivate us to take action. For example you touch something hot pain is felt so you take our hand away… if we didn’t have that ability instead of a simple burn we could possibly do serious damage. Most interesting to me is the importance of pain. I never thought about the ability to really harm yourself if you didn’t feel pain. I saw it more as you take the good with the bad. Another words to have the wonderful feeling of hugging my kids, I have to endure pain of spilling hot coffee on myself because both occasions use the sense organ skin. I would also like to learn more about people with Hansen’s disease.
