I have two phobias. One is pretty common. I have a huge phobia of flying in airplanes. I am in the modeling industry and traveling is way way way important, while my models fly, I usually take a bus, train or drive. (I was told that when I was a little girl, the plane that I was flying on had landing gear problems and I have been told that that caused a deep rooted trauma in me). The second phobia may be funny to others but I am horrified of crickets (the chirping kind)! You can sit a mouse or rat on my head and wrap a snake around my neck and have dogs nipping at my feet and I will be fine! But bring a cricket near me.....I'm gone!

There is a large percentage of people in society who have phobias, but a lot won't own up. This is due to the fact they may have them and get laughed at or made a mockery of. I have a fear of Lifts and i don't like telling people, as they do laugh and try to pressure me into going in the lift with them saying "everything will be fine". If i thought it would be fine i wouldn't be scared in the first place.

Spiders
Most insects, especially cockroaches, and flying ones (stinging insects will make me run and scream) including big furry moths (I shudder just typing that!)
Suffocating and not being able to breathe
Deep water where I can't see the bottom -- fear of drowning
I'm not afraid of heights for me, but when I see my daughter or husband doing something with heights that I think is dangerous (leaning over a railing, up on a ladder, etc.), I get weak in the knees.
I think that most people have at least one.

I have quite a few phobias. I have a serious fear of large crowds! There's nothing scarier than having an anxiety attack on a crowded train during commuter hours. I've had a few of those in the past.

I don't like spiders. But I don't think some phobias are real. Phobia is an irrational fear. Fear of heights is not irrational, nor is the fear of closed spaces.Who enjoys being closed in? Rhetorical question.

I think so even though many ppl don't recognize their symptoms as being such or claim them. Mine is being alone so i sleep with the TV blaring so I can hear sounds in the background instead of outside sounds. Weird ain't it?

Balloons. I really hate them. Been scared since little as I dont like the bangs. I was blowing one up which burst in my face and frightened me forever. I cannot go to birthday parties in case they are there, and my 2 kids arent allowed to bring any home.
