This is a marriage counselor, and during a session I made the statement, " I don't think my husband is in love with me, he's in love with the stupid in me". We've been married 11 yrs, problems for about 5 yrs or longer, and I ask myself, why have I put up with this for so long, and better yet why has my husband put up with me? Is it because I don't leave, yeah probably.
Anyway, after making this statement, the counselor looked at me with a confused look, leaned back in his chair, and said "What? What is that supposed to mean, I don't get it?"
Was it a dumb statement, wasn't it clear? I thought it spoke volumes. Not only do I feel stupid for staying in my marriage, now I feel stupid for making the statement.

:. I agree the Tarcísio Brito… When the emotion is greater, the reason adds! As much how much this much “madness” for ai occurs consequently… Later the peoples give the same answers: The said rise of the emotion more! Of two this… Or this is really truth, or has the imagination to invent a better excuse.
How would you evaluate both theories:
a)Sigmund Freud’s, in which he postulated that the mind operates in two levels, the conscious and the unconscious; about his discoveries that impulses and desires (many sexually originated) existed mainly in the unconscious level.
b)Tarcísio Brito’s, in which he postulates that the mind operates between consciousness and emotion. When we elevate the consciousness, we retrain the emotion, and when we elevate the emotion, we retrain the consciousness; about his imaginary graphic, which show that the balance corresponds to ≥ 50 % of consciousness and ≤ 50% of emotion. The unbalance happens the opposite.

Just having a lousy year. I really don't think that I have completly failed at things, but on the other hand, I haven't succeeded either. My Father says "Sometimes you have to fail in order to succeed". Others say I try to hard. Is there even such a thing as trying to hard? I don't understand! I wondered about all this when I was 17, now 35 and I still can't figure it out!

Why do people develope feelings of worthlessness? What are the psychological mechanics behind this? What can a person who feels worthless do to stop feeling that way?

Its like words do not mean anything anymore we talk but people only hear what they want to hear. We now live our lives to have the amercian dreams of the white pickett fence and the dog ang three kids and life is really more about that its about finding your purpose in life. I fear that I will not find my purpose. Did you know on average that it will take the average person seven years to get a four year degree. That because their lost and cannot figure out what the heck they are going to do with their life. Its like we all live for our nitch in the materialistic fiber of society. It reminds me of a quote by Albert Einstien he said, " dont be a man of success but rather a man of value" its very sad what money can do to people. It makes them selfish, WHY? I would like your thoughts on this particular subject. Thank You

I live in the u.k. which is a pretty dull and grey place for most of the year...i would love to move out but i'm too emotionally attached to this place

But ive found that Im really happy when it's sunny and bright (and i dont care if its warm or chilly)....I'm getting so paranoid about losing the last days of sunshine (now that winter is setting in) that Im taking pictures of blue skies and i keep dreaming that Ive invented a cloud sucking machine.....

Im a normal person, but is this abnormal behaviour? I dont think its anything to worry about...does anyone else feel like this sometimes?

I can't help it! I just love him to death. I know it's just a movie and all but I'm obessed. I try not to think about him but I can't help it. Some times I just cry for hours because he isn't real. :( My mom knows but she doesn't care one bit.
Thank you and May the Force be with you.
