unfortunately the media, television and TV commercials play a role.they make you believe that if you don't look like this person/movie star or if you don't drive this car, then you are not beautiful or will never get far in life. the truth is--- it's all a facade.
so many people desire to be like the other person. it's really a never ending hole of deceit. it also, maybe be a problem that a person has experienced in their childhood. and those feelings reoccur in adulthood.
there is no happiness in pursuing riches ,looks or wealth. there is help for those who identify that they have these feelings.
a doctor will help redirect the feelings of being worthless. and your family members care. more importantly, God does care. and He is the one that overlooks imperfections.

When nothing else works and everything we do doesn't seem to be right then worthlessness prevails but hey, everyone feels that way every now and then. You have to accept that life's like that. Psychologically, worthlessness is a symptom of depression. Depression is common during fall and winter. To avoid feeling depressed, go out and take a walk or inspire yourself by writing a poem or just do something.

well it is hard to say. Sometimes it is from events that have occurred in your life, it can be from negativtiy you have experienced or maybe from a chemical inbalance. There are several ways to seek help. Some choose to try antidepressants, others try counseling. If it is severe you may want to try a combination of the two. I have tried the meds and I don't prefer them, not to say they don't work or that it isn't the way for you. I don't care for the side effects and the fact that for me they stopped working after a while, you then have to increase the dosage. I am currently seeing a counselor. I like seeing the counselor b/c he is teaching me how to view my feelings in a different way, that you shouldn't change the way you feel about things, but change how you view them and handle them. He is also teaching me that you can't take on the stress of the world. I wish you the best whatever you choose. I know how it feels, it can be quite painful.
