i like to put myself into people's (asker's) situation and think how i might react to that situation. in this way it will give u knowledge to deal in probable situations later.
i like to express my feelings.
i have learned that through informal question and answers we learn much more that the academic course book question and answers.
i personally believe that answers.yahoo.com is providing us the platform to learn the practical things in day to day life.
it helps us to understand people and their ways of thinking. how differently they think than us. which helps us to adapt with the people and cope up with them.
most of the times i answer people really to help them with their queries, which gives a feeling of satisfaction to me.
and another reason is i love it when people appreciate the time we spent on their questions and answer we suggest them.
another cool thing is u learn a lots or perspectives and preferences when u ask something. and really come up with cool ideas of people that u could never even have imagined in your dream.
final point is .... " it helps to kill the time too, but in a worthy way"
i love this site and idea.
how about u guys.

I like YA because it's interesting; you never know what someone will ask, and you never know what someone will answer. It's very unpredictable and some of the questions will really make you think. I think everyone likes to help others if they can, so it can make your online time more worthwhile (than, say just chatting w/people). I also noticed that there are professionals of different fields on here, and even though it's entertainment of some sort, I think it's wonderful that they come on here and help people with serious problems and give professional advice. Although, when people ask serious questions and people give them b***s*** answers they definitely need to be reported and in some cases, I think they should be taken off of YA (for example, if someone is talking about suicide or something, and someone actually gives them tips on how to accomplish it).

I'm addicted. And there's probably several reasons why.
I'm fascinated by the sheer volume of questions and suggestions/answers you can find on this site about almost all areas of life.
I like giving my opinion to people, and in my "real" life, it's not always wanted (I guess most people feel that way). This way, I'm giving my opinion to someone who specifically asked for it, and they can skim over what I've said as the ravings of a crazy woman, or they can take them and consider them as having some merit.
I've been through a lot of crap. It's easier to reconcile myself to everything that's happened (quite often because of some stupid decision of my own) if I can use those experiences to help others or provide some insight.
When I ask a question, I like to be taken seriously and given a respectful, honest answer. That's what I try to do on here. If I respond to a question, I try to assume that it may be something someone is really struggling with, even if the answer seems obvious to me. The great majority of answers given on here over-simplify, generalize, and often make fun of the person asking the question. While a lot of people ask "stupid" questions on purpose, I know from experience what it's like to be in a situation where you kind of know the "intelligent" thing to do, but need to have it explained and be encouraged anyway. Also, I know that most questions have several answers. Therefore, it bothers me when people generalize, giving an answer without considering everything that's going on (for example, one woman asked "What do I do about my child asking questions about sex?", with people saying that she is sick and her child is molested, but without knowing what the questions are, what the child is like, there's no simple answer).
Honestly, though, the main reason I get on and answer questions is that I like getting the emails saying that someone chose my answer as the best answer. It's like an inbox full of validation. :-)

Because I can ask a question and get multiple answers. Q #2 -That if you answer with a "thanks for the points" you will be reported. Q #3- If I don't have an answer for myself I will go on this website and ask. I don't spend all my time in here because I work and I pick up my kids from school and I help them with their homework. So my time is precious. But if I have a something to ask I will come on line. And like right now I just happened to go in and check my question and decided to answer yours. Have a great day.

I love Yahoo answers because, I have always liked to write short stories.
I wrote a story in 1980, Stephen King read it, and said I had talent.
Since that time, I have been unable to get anything together.
I started on a novel, with biographical overtones, (though fiction), about ten years ago, and only finished the first chapter so far.
Yahoo answers has motivated me to write, even better, I get a chance to give advice, due to a diverse background; University trained nursing student, majoring in psychology at present, I have been working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, been in two branches of the military, etc; I only answered one question that I regretted, it was a serious question, and I answered it with humor, I am more sensitive to that now.
My sense of humor is extreme though.

You feel in touch with other people and can sometimes help them solve their problems. You learn from questions and answers others submit so no end to the knowledge learnt. I don't consider it wasted time as anything learnt is valuable however young or old you are.

i like the possibility to replicate on journey or to actual define how i think of or sense a pair of concern that i will have in basic terms had precis innovations approximately till I had to place it into writing. sometimes it quite is astonishing to actual have the respond. On some events i think of i'm going to have actual helped a guy or woman or 2 that have been scuffling with a severe concern. sometimes i'm getting to work out what a jerk i could be with a number of my comments (not in lots of cases yet as quickly as in awhile :-D). Or i can vent the place i comprehend it quite is going to be especially examine. i can get an concept of how plenty i think of like others or not, in lots of cases i'm happy i don't. i can in lots of cases detect a query that i could ask yet has been asked in the past so I even have the records handy.I see that there are diverse quite nicely recommended human beings obtainable , they are exciting. I % out issues that never got here approximately to me , in simple terms before reading here . at cases i'm upset on the content fabric of questions and sweetness with regard to the mentality of the asker and/or responder. Then i wish the ridiculous would not get interior the way of the different questions and make the region not rather well worth the time. i can work out the convenience and savor information and probability to realize a huge public as a physically powerful ingredient , yet not whilst it quite is polluted with crap with the only motive to distract and aggravate human beings. besides , it quite is something to do for exciting.I do learn issues , not inevitably in intensity yet concepts. i don't sense so sensible as quickly as I examine by using a number of the questions , yet whats up ,I even have my own strengths and that i never get uninterested in a working laptop or computing gadget around....i'm surprised at how a number of the human beings aquire maximum of things in little while, it quite is have been given to take alot of time. the utmost scoring fellow has over 50% appropriate solutions . geeeez that alot of solutions. i'm going to get around to asking something a kind of days.

Aside from the nonsensical questions and answers provided, I tend to learn from others--especially from those who take the time to type a coherent answer without vulgarities.

I like yahoo answers because I get to give advice to some people who could really use it sometimes and I get to discuss other issues like sports and politics with others.
