Hatred spurns from anger that comes from distrust which grows out of lack of understanding, right? So if we just try to understand each other, some people who were enemies before will cease to be. Does this theory- trying to understand someone will bring you closer to them- work?

I think it might be true, but if it is true what does it tell you about the person? If somebody likes to wear thongs what does that tell you about them? If someone likes to wear granny panties what does that tell you about them?

After the US soldiers murdered 200 women and children at Sand Creek, the US Government condemned the slaughter of innocence lives, and said the Cheyenne would be compensated. They were then thrown on a reservation in Oklahoma. Why won't the US Government settle with this tribe, like they've settled with the Japanese for WWII, etc. Their Ancestors deserve this. There will always be distance between the Cheyenne and the US unless the Government settles like they promised. Your only as good as your word, and The US governments word is no good. Cheyenne and Arapaho are humble people, who would give you their last blanket if you needed it. They basically gave the US their land for nothing. The Cheyenne were murdered, and from journals that were kept by soldiers, some of their last words were, "We your friend", why you do this? Then their throats were slashed.

Al Qeda grows in strength and numbers by spreading propaganda. A fundamental part of its propaganda is the perversion of Islam. Is the mobilization of the U.S. troops in predominantly Muslims regions an effective tool to eliminate them? Islam clearly condemns the actions of Al Qeda. So is it more effective to hunt down Al Qeda opperatives or to deter poeple from believing the Al Qeda's propaganda?

I aks anyone who wishes to respond by saying that Islam promotes terrorism to please tell me where specifically in the Koran it says this.

I attend a small liberal arts college in South Carolina. I am an Education major and have noticed that most of the Professors go to church and they talk about religion in the classroom constantly. They assume that all education majors attend church and they make comments about how they like to see the Ten Commandments hung up in a school. I feel that this is ridiculous. I was taking a course on the child, families, and communities and all the professor and the other students talked about was religion (Christianity) and how they can judge a school when they first walk in it. Some even suggested that Title I schools were "bad" schools and anything above that was a "good" school. I feel very strongly about this but was afraid to speak up for fear of being ostracized. What do I do? They are warping the minds of future teachers.
