A person can talk back and forth via e-mail and IM, but there is nothing more special than a letter from a friend, written by their own hand...their words and their writing reflect the essence of that friend.

There is going to be a day when Christmas card are not even going to make it thru the mail. I get really excited when i even get a thank you card, short and sweet but still someone took the time to think of me, buy the card and sit down and address it.

I like opening mail, but haven't hand written a letter for years, even to my Nan. I don't care if people find it impersonal, I refuse to use anything other than my key board. If they don't have an e-mail address I will just print it off and shove it in an envelope also printed off!
