Yep.. Just think of the consequences of ur show of anger at any time. What will u do after u scold somebody or hit them out of temper? How will u be able to talk or interact with them later? Doesn't it become a dhappa on ur relationship with others?
And easier than this... just keep ur mouth shut and count from 1 to 50 when u get anger... Try it. It really worked for me... :-)

Find the source of your anger and deal with it. Usually, anger comes from selfishness. People get angry when they don't get what they want, or when they feel unable to control a situation or person. Ask yourself what happens right before you throw a tantrum, and then ask yourself if you were being selfish at that moment.

Exercise ... go for a run or do some weights to burn off the angry energy. While you do it, try to RELAX, and not work yourself into more of a rage. You may have to stop thinking about it before trying to approach it again in a different frame of mind after you're done working out.

Your sincere interest to cool down yourself is your first investement in the process of change

- remember that by being anger YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET ANYTHING its just waste of time

Talk to your ownself and be your own friend and realize that your true nature is 'Peaceful' The one who is peaceful can never have rage. Repeat in mind as many times as possible that 'I am a peaceful personality'. You will surely see a change in short time.

My suggestion would be to take a walk or a drive by yourself, or at least just take some time, somehow, for yourself to calm down. Depending on what your life is like, this may be easy for you to do or hard, but taking time for yourself to just be alone and relax is the best way to calm your anger.

There is counseling, but I like the book "you can't make me angry" by Paul D. It suggests ways to not allow people, places, and things to control your anger and other emotions. Good luck, I hate causing injuries and other things I regret that can be avoided.

Give this a shot.
It WILL work if 1) You believe it will
2) You put in the effort required

Give your life to Jesus Christ and ask God, in His name, to help you deal with your anger. It's the only way.
