Well actually quite clearly NOT everyone loves America! Events five years ago make that clear. But what is it about America that causes so many to love to hate her?

A little over a hundred years ago, the ruling class of this country was still eradicating native peoples like they were rodents. A hundred fifty years the country tolerated the selling of other human beings and the physical abuse of them, to the point of death. In that same era, men were allowed to physically abuse and torture their own family members, without legal repercussion. A mere fifty years ago, educated minorities were seen as a threat, and were lynched, while law enforcement and the judiciary looked the other way.

Here is the question: Fifty, a hundred, two hundred years from now, what aspects of the culture are the people of this country going to look back on and wonder how we could be so unenlightened? Something that as a general culture we don't even question now...

When discussing culture of course it requires making generalizations. Having lived in Japan for many years I would say the culture is group oriented, people are non-confrontational, polite, they have a unique cuisine, they care a great deal for quality. Does the US really have a culture or is it just a bunch of sub-cultures and individual actors?

I have to write a paper for anthropology about unwritten rules. I'm supposed to choose an activity and write a paragraph about each of the unwritten rules that governs it. I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with ideas.

Ok, I am really confused as to what to answer, when asked. I was born in Boston, raised in Mexico City, my father is Mexican (but Spanish ancestors) my mother is Swiss. I live in San Diego, and every time I have to answer any any form, it asks for my "ethnicity".

As we know there are two kinds of male penis, one that is small when flaccid and grows when erect, and the other is large when flaccid and just gets erect without getting any bigger. So I was wondering what would be the biological evolutionary reasons for this difference? I was thinking that the small when flaccid type would be of benefit to the caveman hunter, who doesn't want something tripping him up, but surely the large when flaccid would be more desirable to females looking for a mate, but that would fly in the face of the "small" being better at providing food for his family..

P.S. If you're an idiot who just wants to post a stupid answer to get two points...don't bother, you only make yourself look pathetic.

Examples: a witch, wolf, vampire, fox, Aesop's scorpion, whore of babylon, bluebeard, a false princess, rumpelstilskin, devil dealers, and all things horrible hiding in the shadows of our human past.

Even to this present day, we still continue to suffer from these atavistic primates.
