There are lots of stats floating around while all may be correct, but may not be what you want. Like some may say "The populations listed are, should be for the city proper and NOT for the entire metropolitan area" or
they may say "All population figures for the world's largest urban areas are simply estimates. There's no way to know the exact population of such a large place."
