i see a lot of people who seem miserable with kids. also for a man having a kid can be a disaster since the woman could leave, take his kid, and then he has to pay her for it. ...plus with kids you have to give your life to them instead of living your own. im 24 now and not planning on having kids right this second. but i wonder if i would even want to. i see these guys in the stores with kids and they look miserable. ...what do you think?

The other day I overheard a mum on the bus to her friend that she gonna buy her daughter some g-strings & thongs coz she been asking her she wants some, this woman looked about 25ish so obviously the daugher must be kinda young, the way how the mum was dressed she looked like a battlered slapper..

I usually have my mp3 player on but the fkn battery died, so had to endure this crap throughout this depressing journey.

I'm so glad I communicate with my 9 year old son about self-respect coz i wouldn't want him bringin home a demorilised girl.

I think it really depressed me further knowing who knows what gonna happen in the future, hopefully he will understand just have hope & knowing you teaching them with dignity & self-respect....

I was watching a movie last night called "Traces of Death". I am a fan of horror and weird movies like Eraserhead.

Anyways, There is a clip in the movie where some politician shoots himself during a press meeting. It's very, very, very, disturbing and traumatizing, and usually nothing gory makes me cringe.

But this morning, I was watching "Best Week Ever" on VH1, and there was a clip about how a mother and daughter french kissed each other for like 1-2 min, in order to win tickets to a Larry the Cable Guy, on some televised radio talk show. When saw them I was totally grossed out and turned away. I find it interesting that an act of this kind effects me more than scenes of carnage. what would you find more revolting? Or do you have an uncommon fear of some sort?Like the fear of pennies?

I haven't noticed it but I always think that Im best than everyone else.. I have empathy for other people and I love to help others but sometimes I think Im the best or at least I try really hard. I also believe that I am v ery smart and I constantly put down my boyfriend just to feel superior and it happens with everybvody even if I dont want to. I also think that I have an extraordinary ability for things and that no one can be better...like at art or reading etc... or college. All of this has bugged me for a long time but I always thought I was the nicest girl on earth now I am starting to think that I give myself too much credit! what can I do?....at work, at school, with my family, my friends etc.. I think I am the best... but I don't want them to hate me for that...

My next door neighbor seems to get great pleasure out of teaching his 6 year old grandson how to fire a toy gun. I find this very odd, especially with the recent Virginia Tech shootings. He also quite frequently takes a bb gun and shoots squirrels in his backyard, which is dangerously close to mine. Is this normal behavior?

Those of us without children are often told that our opinions are groundless...as we could never understand the real plight. However, I believe we have objectivity on our side...and that validates our views considerably.

My view is that parents of the youth today really stink at their role (generalization, of course). Parents who teened and twentied in the 80s/90s have been willing victims of the 'therapy' culture...labelling bad behavior and attitudes with terms of acceptable dysfunction. And now, they are passing that crap on to their kids.

The generation I see today is disrespectful, lazy, rude and display a ridiculous sense of entitlement. And the parents seem to stand by and allow it. They seem to want to be their kids' friends, rather than parents! They indulge their every whim, and ensure that they are clad in the most recent and trendy fashion fads. Punishments are shortlived, and the threats of such hold no sincerity.

How did parenting get this messed up?

This is an absolute disgrace on the side of Youtube, it is happy to publicise evil mass murderers but if you put more than ten seconds of copyrighted content on the site you are in breach of Youtube Terms of Service.

There are many thing that I enjoy doing, but I can't seem to become passionate about them. My personality is very bland because my interests aren't at all obvious.

I enjoy the outdoors, web/graphic design, art, and I love trucks and muscle cars. Those are just a few of my interests.

How do I get passionate about an interest of mine? I mean, I want to get close to addicted to it! Lol!

I left my home in 7th grade and only seen it once since then.
I'm going to be a senior in college and I still can't tear myself away from it. When the weather gets a certain way, or if I smell certain things or hear certain things, I get caught up in nostalgia and it can make me miserably depressed for days or weeks at a time.

I went to one counselor about it and she said I should move back there, but that's completely unpractical and I'll most likely never see the place again.

so should I be preparing to feel this miserable the rest of my life or is there some way to overcome this?

Maquila is the short form of the word maquiladora, if it helps your answer/search. Theoretically, the essence of both are the same, so differentiating between them is posing a serious problem. Btw, I'm not sure if the category I chose to ask this question under is the correct one, so (plz) bare with me.

I'm talking about young people in need to buy a house or at least to rent an apartment to live by themselves.
Here in Italy it seems almost impossible for us to buy a house and a big waste of money to rent something since the prices in both the situation are unaffordable for ordinary people. Most of us keep living with their parents and have given up the idea to start a life on our own. That's obviously thank to our marvellous politicians who had better change job and leave the government in more capable hands.
Anyway, how is it in the USA?Do young people have better chances than us over here in Italy?
