I was watching a movie last night called "Traces of Death". I am a fan of horror and weird movies like Eraserhead.
Anyways, There is a clip in the movie where some politician shoots himself during a press meeting. It's very, very, very, disturbing and traumatizing, and usually nothing gory makes me cringe.
But this morning, I was watching "Best Week Ever" on VH1, and there was a clip about how a mother and daughter french kissed each other for like 1-2 min, in order to win tickets to a Larry the Cable Guy, on some televised radio talk show. When saw them I was totally grossed out and turned away. I find it interesting that an act of this kind effects me more than scenes of carnage. what would you find more revolting? Or do you have an uncommon fear of some sort?Like the fear of pennies?

By the way, "Traces of Death" is real footage, unlike its older cousin "Faces of Death"

I don't find either one of those disturbing. I mean 2 people of the same gender kissing is fine by me. It would be pretty wrong if it wasn't. People shooting themselves... Man, done there, done that. I mean have you ever watched C.S.I.?? Really.
I don't have any, "...uncommon fear...", that I've encountered yet in life. But I'm still young, so that could change any day now. I'm more-or-less, if anything, curious of how I'm going to die.
What it feels like, and how it feels to say...be in a fiery explosion. Or to die by poison, or over dose... Or to be shot in certain places, like the head, or the neck, or something... Maybe get burned to death, see if thers any difference between getting burned, or blowing up. There are so many wondrous ways die, I'd love to experience them all.
Too bad I can't....

I think the mother daughter thing is more disgusting, but only for the fact that it's real. For the carnage, it's just a movie.
Oh, well in the case that the guy shooting himself was real.. I guess he was making a statement, a powerful one stating that he was tired of all the other bullshit politicians and.. I don't know, haha. The only statement the mother and daughter were making was that they're a bunch of redneck skanks who will do almost anything for tickets for some stupid show.

Well the mother-daughter thing is most disturbing and disgusting.
And as for the movie where a politician shoots himself during a news conference, that is disturbing as well because it actually happened in my state--Pennsylvania. His name was Bud Dwyer and it occurred on January 22, 1987. He was State Treasurer, and in trouble because of some shady dealings while in office.

At last another fan of Eraserhead, I agree the second act sounds more revolting, for the incestuous implications, although the first, depending on how it is depicted, could be disturbing, will try to catch the movie.

Well have you ever seen "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"? the skinning of bodies and cutting off body parts?? Eww that was most disturbing thing in the world!!
But your second scene involved desperation to incest to win lottery tickets. So that disturbed you more than a politician commiting suicide.

i think that is disgusting regarding the mother and daughter, so i am with u on that one. how can they live with themselves that is just awful.
i also hate horror movies. the silence of the lambs got to me so much that i miscarried my baby. i was horrified by its content and couldnt sleep for ages after that. i have never, and never will watch another horror story after that.
i also have a fear of birds, not a lot going for me really is there?

Well, horror movies aren't real. Alot of people love horror movies but they wouldn't want to be in that situation, or watch some dude murder tons of people. But a mother making out with her own daughter is real and SO wrong. So I agree with you. Yuck. Horror movies are good...Insest not so much.
Cheers! :]

Both are pretty disturbing but none as disturbing as an infant obliviously clinging to the dead body of her mother killed in tribal clashes in an African village.

The second one is nastier. You would have more luck with your other question seperately.
