I started having siezures about 4 years ago. The minute I finally went on meds....The siezures stopped. I have become very active and dropped from 145 to 130. I am on 500mg keppra 2X each day. I had siezure at 1:00am last night. It was not grand m...but it scared me and my husband. Yes, I am seeing the neur on monday. I have been up late and stressed because I own a business and I am the chef. My business is getting ready to explode. Am I on too much, not enough, or am I having break through siezures.

Anyone have any ideas....PS I am ALWAYS tired!!!! - why?

You might be tired because you might be foucusing much of your energy on worry and that can drain a person dramaticly.
You might not be on the right meds. Only an MRI can really answer this question for you......i suggest an fMRI......(functional mri) ask your doctor about one.

Don't be too concerned, seizures can still happen even if they are usually well controlled with medication, it is probably your tiredness and stress that brought it on. See your doctor as soon as you can, if you keep having more seizures you may need an increased dose of medication. It is common to feel very tired after a seizure also. Try and get some rest and avoid other triggers such as tiredness, stress, smoking, drinking and caffeine in the meantime. If you are tired all the time there could be a number of reasons for this, it sounds like you have burned yourself out and need a holiday.

I wouldn't dare to guess about why you had a seizure. Your neuro will be able to help you figure this out. In the meantime, relax and don't stress about your business. You will be fine and your business will continue to boom. Take care of yourself. Stress can do a lot of strange things to our bodies....it may have brought on this seizure. Remember to keep things in perspective. Good luck and feel better.

Keep that appointment. It's your stress level. You'll need stronger meds, or less stress.

Less stress doesn't seem an option for you right now.

i wouldn't be too worried, but go to a doctor anyway. Try not to stress about it too much because this might cause a trigger.
