My guess you are younger...and still trying to figure out "who" you are and where you belong. Everyone has been there...its a part of growing up. I was there once...I wasn't sure who my real friends were, nor who I was. I was afraid that people wouldn't like me, so I'd be like a chameleon...changing my personality depending on who I was hanging out with just so I could "fit in". But the truth is, everyone does that...it just takes time to learn that you should be yourself, and the people that don't accept that aren't worth having in your life, and the people that cherish your friendship will be life-long friends.
I'm now in college, content with the people with whom I surround myself, and content with myself. Just face your fear of rejection...everybody gets rejected sometime in life. ITS OKAY! Most of all, just be yourself! :)

I don't know who I really am yet. So I am going to just keep trying until I get something that feels right. :]
