Social Science - 14 February 2007

I have been living in this apartment for one month now. Since day one the above apartment has a child (rougly about 2 years old). I understand living beneath someone their is going to be noise. Such as hearing their washing machine, T.V. and hearing people walk. I also hear this child run constantly which is part of being a child I know. The issue with me is the constant running and jumping late at night until early morning. I am being serious, the child has woken me up from bed at 2 in the morning. I work from 8 to 5 and I need my sleep. I usually go to bed around 11 and it's so hard for me to sleep due to the running and jumping all night long. I talked to the Mother upstairs and explained to her the situation and she apologized and would settle the child down. A week went by and still the same. I called the landlord and he said he can't do anything about it. But in my lease it has rules bout the disturbance of neighbors being an issue. What do I do now? Thanks!!!

Im a 21 female from the UK. I have always been interested in crime but recently I have become more and more interested in death row. I read all the convicted murderers stories, what they did, how they did it etc.. I enjoy reading up about life on death row and the gruesome murders that happen inside the prision.
I feel sick to the stomach when I read what these people have done but I cant stop reading.
The world is full of such cruel beings and I have realised how precious life is. I cant get some of the words I have read out of my head. I am becoming scared to go out at night in case something happens to me. Yet I continue to torture myself reading up on killers. Im fascinated by how their minds work and why they do these things .Is this normal??

The word "lady" is often used interchangeably with "woman" regardless of the character of the person.

Do you do that? If so, is it because the word lady is easier to say? Or, is it because you believe that all women are "ladies" by virtue of their gender? (e.g. "bag lady")

Likewise, does being male automatically make one a gentleman?

I heard that there will be less and less natural blondes in future years. I think i heard it was because, in the past a long time ago, men only wanted women with lighter hair and that a blonde was actually "created" this way. But now we are mixing so the blonde is being lost. I have no idea if this is even close to correct but do you know anything?
