Usually I try to look this stuff up on my own and then I eventually forget about it, but this one is too weird and I want other people's opinions.
I had a dream that I was in my old house (we just moved to a new one last year) with my mom, a friend (I dont remember who), my boss and the HR manager (they are sisters) where I work, in the family room. All the furniture was cleared out. The back door was open and we could see through the screen door were two tigers. One was laying down just looking at us and he looked like he was going to go to sleep and the other was pacing and looking at us. Eventually, the family room turned into my old bedroom. The furniture was cleared out of there too. In real life, I had a window in my room that looked out in the same direction as the back door in the family room but in my dream, there was a door where the window should be. The tiger was trying to break in but running full speed into the door and scratching at the screen.

I dreamt that I see white birds with red and green lines in their wings. They were so many. Does it mean anything?

Maths. Adding and subtracting. Multiplication. Division. Factors. Equations. It's all quite beautiful, if you're that way inclined.

In the US, Maths is called Math. It is singular. Here in Britain we have many forms of Maths. Across the Atlantic they only have one. I don't know what that says about the disparity between our cultures. It probably says very little, but then again, I'm not a linguist.

Everything nowadays runs on binary. That's just zeroes and ones. Two digits that rule the world.

001100000 0001111000 01100000110 0110000000
001100000 0011001100 00110001100 0111111110
001100000 0011001100 00110001100 0110000000
001111110 0001111000 00011011000 0110000000

Yes, Maths is probably the answer to all of life's problems. Man turned to science because he was sick of the ambiguity of art. Art can be anything. That's the whole point of it, apparently. Think of the sleek beauty of binary....everything is either a zero or a one...no shades of grey, no awkward decimals or possibilities. It is beautiful because it is true. I think an artist of some kind once said truth was beauty. He was wrong, but it was a lovely idea. He probably lived before calculators we invented, so we can forgive his human errors.

Think of the ridiculous forms that man has invented in the pursuit of art: ice-dance, mime, synchronised swimming, the saxophone... and so many more. Why? Is it really so vital that we express ourselves. I think the world would probably be a better place with less self-expression. I know this is anathema to western culture, where we're supposed to encourage children to make self-portraits out of clay and tell autistic wrecks that the inky blobs they have drawn is art, but perhaps the world would be a better place with more self-repression.

Remember: Hitler was an amateur artist, not a weekend mathematician.

It would be lovely to think that there was a formula or equation underpinning our existence; that we could guarantee happiness by following a set pattern; that all our spiritual and moral ambiguities could be annihilated with a giant calculator.

Imagine Moses on the top of Mount Sinai, speaking in his booming voice to the Children of Israel. Rather than holding two tablets of stone he clutches in his hands two large CASIO calculators. On both of them is a number of wondrous holy significance.

Sadly, in his hurry to hand the words (or numbers) of God to mankind, Moses is carrying the calculators upside down and the number appears as a word: BOOBIES.

That is where mankind goes wrong. If only we had chosen numbers instead of words. It's numbers that you can count on. Words just take us to the ends of sentences.

They have been full on brain washed. and i dont think thee is anything i can do now because it has been so long..I will never forget what he did to me and i need justice..

i have sincere feelings for my best friend. i think he sensed that and told me yesterday that he just sees me as a really good friend and nothing else. he loves someone else who he is currently having problems with and he looks to me for solace.
i am heartbroken but i think i will get over it. how to lessen the pain? should i continue to be supportive for that is what i am doing now... despite the hurt i feel.. or just cool off?
i have exams coming up, i cant study... i am too depressed

he told me, he would always be there as a friend and i should go study now... i appreciate his honesty

In what ways does poetry impact society today and what are the major roles it plays (other than in school)? I am not talking about music lyrics, but rather published poetry.

I’m a relaxed person, nostalgic, and a kid at heart. I enjoy watching cartoons and occasionally staring at a Christmas tree for hours on end when I’m tired. I have days where I feel so mellow, happy and giggly and will laugh at almost anything…why not? I sometimes get spaced out and disoriented ADD style and I get the munchies...man lol. But I think that’s because I have an awful sleep schedule.

I have all of those qualities but I've never done pot in my life and neither has anyone I know. And I’m still academic and have plenty of standards. I’m competent, but I’m not competitive. I just don’t enjoy competition, fighting and borrowing trouble. I find it more beneficial to only worry about the things that I can change. Although I like to maintain social awareness, I’ve learned that being aggressive and overworrying about things that are out of my control causes me nothing but trouble. What’s wrong with being laid back and happy anyway?

I've noticed that fat women always laugh at everything. Is it because they're happy or because they use it as a defense mechanism? If they're happier than others, then I should attempt to get fat....Is that not an adequate assumption?
