Your education is not solely based on its value from society - but also its value to you.
Also - Do not be fooled into thinking that it is the uneducated that are influencing society - it is the educated that are using the uneducated to influence society.

Today a college is degree is equal to less than a high school education compared to 50-60 years ago. While to you it might appear the uneducated influence society the most, certainly, the uneducated have almost no impact on an individual basis. YOu are right, People don't care much about a degree or anything else. OUR SOCIETY HAS BECOME LAZY AND SELF-CENTERED, unfortunately! Alcohol and drugs make people lazy and ruin their ambition. Years ago people were modivated to work for a living. Education is very valuable tool even if it doesn't advance you in a job; education enriches your mind. Education is valuable, if for nothing more than advancing your mind to higher, bigger and better horizons. Education is never a waste if you take it seriously. Previous generations didn't just learn in school, but they were always learning. On the farm, in the kitchen, wherever they found themselves they were learning by being apprentices that is why their lesser number of years in school equaled or bettered the educations of today. Many kids today graduate and can hardly read. They are just pushed along in school. There is no one at home minding the children. The children fend for themselves at home. Money, money has become the people's god. People grow up and try to buy their children's love because they feel guilty for not giving them their time. There is no one there to help with the kids homework or the comfort they need. Children loose interest in looking for a family within their peers or worse yet gangs. It is a vicious cycle which repeats it's self. Education is a valuable tool in the right people's hands. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."

The only influence uneducated people have on society today is negative. The reason is they do not understand what people are saying and why. A good education is not valueless, it is priceless. I am 52 years old and still go to night classes. The reason I keep going is whatever I learn, no one can take from me.

That may be true, but those people who don't have degrees will not be making good money in 5 years. They may be plenty happy working at wendy's or something, and you can get some decent jobs without an AA or BA, but the job market right now is crazy for anyone with a degree. Dont worry about what it costs, it will pay off in the end. And if you have the chance to live on campus I would highly suggest it, it's a lot of fun being able to experience campus life. Im kinda jealous cause I live off campus with my parent's 25 miles from campus (dang)!!

we are "allowed" to do something we pick. the purely element right here about us is that we placed extra concentration on the interest of others than on the egoistic pastimes of ourselves. To a human attitude, someone with out a reliable paying interest and someone who lives an basic life is seen an unsuccessful human being. yet purely because the example of Jesus Christ, we are the happiest and the most efficient human beings contained in the international. because what reliable is it to pursue a dream if we do no longer have Jehovah's help? that's authentic what Jesus Christ suggested. He suggested that some have already lived their life to its fullest. And its unhappy that some human beings on right here imagine they are residing to the max even as Jehovah can provide so much better than to stay in this previous gadget of issues. Have Jehovah's Witness lived the life to its fullest? no longer yet, yet we can contained in the hot international order.

What you learn is yours to keep and share and use. It may get you a better job, it may help you to understand how this world works. If society does not value it, you can always pretend to be ignorant.
