As we get older and our mental capabilities improve we move from a simple understanding that if a ball is in front of us and we do not observe the ball as it is taken away that the perception that the ball no longer exists is not real but rather we perceive that it still exists even though we do not see it any longer...our perception of time and space is relative to the position from which we are observing and holds the time as constant as the knowledge of the existence of the ball no matter from what position we observe it from...if you have not grasped the concept of object permanence, observing the time would be easier to understand if you were in space observing others on earth in different time zones...now, consider that if you were capable of traveling past the speed of light (close to 300,000,000 m/s) and not rearranging your atoms across the whole of the universe in the process, you would be able to theoretically enter into the forth dimension and move through time both forward and backward and then live in the future or live in the past.

It's a matter of perception, like a lot of other stuff we can't really prove exists, like time, or the speed of light for example, we have no real way of knowing what that is but the way we experience time measures how fast we think that light travels. Supposedly you couldn't move through time, or travel faster than light, but in some convoluted way both must be possible.

I did when I first started using the net and talked to some Aussies who were already into midday the next day when I talked to them. Funny, huh. I don't think they are ahead or behind. if you can chat with them real time, it sort of proves they are in the here and now you are, doesn't it? Just different light of day.

nope these are ways to measure time not time itself
but you can travel into the future ( by existing ) and you can travel into the past ( a strong memory gives you all the sensations you originally experienced so mentally it is the same as being there)

Time is relative to your space.....
When you cross the international date line, you either skip a day, or relive a day depending on which way you are travelling....
