At times when i'm sleeping i wake up (maybe when my phone rings, or when someone wakes me up) to realise that i was praying. Its as if my subconscious mind was praying or something. And at times i wake up to realise that "someone" was telling me things i need to pray for. I was just wondering, is it just me or someone else out there experiences the same.

I have heard of primary schools that only speak in a language such as german, spanish, french...they are here in the US. Then you are supposed to send your kid there because at that age they are supposed to be able to learn other languages quicker. Well, what about english? The society here is english, so how do they get their book work in english? Even if you speak english, you still have a lot of bookwork to learn on it as a child. Not just your at home life with english, but you need to have classes on it. The reasoning is that they speak the other language at school and english at home. To me it makes no sense because there are proper english rules to learn. Regular people who did have english classes their whole lives still do not follow proper rules on english all of the time. So if the kids only learn the other language at school, then don't their skills in english suffer??

If you had only one hour to live, what would you do? Would you not arrange what is necessary outwardly, your affairs, your will, and so on?

Would you not call your family and friends together and ask their forgiveness for the harm that you might have done to them, and forgive them for whatever harm they might have done to you? Would you not die completely to the things of the mind, to desires and to the world?

Is it a virtue or a vice.
When Padora's box was opened it contained all of the afflictions of mankind and the myth places the last thing to be released on the world as hope (elpis). So was hope another of the torments or not and if not then why would it be included in Pandora's box.

I know this a wierd question, and possibly the first of it's kind, however, I am curious....Say I am looking at a pool table, with all 15 balls on it. I can focus in on a single ball, and after a few seconds, the rest appear to be gone...and all I see is that single ball, and the felt on the table....To make it a little more simple, it looks like there is only one ball on the table...but when I blink, I see all 15 of them again....So, the question is this...Can everyone do that? And is there an actual reason for that or explanation? I know it's wierd to ask this, I am just curious, and wanted to ask a silly question. Thanks!!!

Someone i love very much has this problem. He lies about stupid things and makes up elaborate stories. We have talked about this and he is doing better. By talking to him ive figured out that this started because he is uncomfortable showing himself to people. So im thinking this is out of insecurity...

OK, well, the ape very slowly began to evolve into a different species way back millions of years ago. It was evolving along slowly, and eventually there was the neanderthal man. And then suddenly, for no reason, a completely different human showed up- the first homo sapien. The two species were different enough to be incompatable sexually. Thats what the scientists call The Missing Link. Obviously, something must have happened in there. So maybe the ape-men may have ended up smarter and more advances, but they might not look just like we do now, and it ought to have taken millions more years.

The question is, what was it that jumpstarted the homo sapiens? Any ideas?
