At times when i'm sleeping i wake up (maybe when my phone rings, or when someone wakes me up) to realise that i was praying. Its as if my subconscious mind was praying or something. And at times i wake up to realise that "someone" was telling me things i need to pray for. I was just wondering, is it just me or someone else out there experiences the same.

I want to pray so much that it brings tears to my eyes like i see other people and not run out of words, like i do at times but i find it hard. That makes me feel guilty

It's alright to be religious and to pray and do things for what you believe, like help others. However, being soley focused on praying is likely unhealthy. Prayer is a calm, meditating thing to do at times and if it's what you believe, then you should do it. But I don't think a loving God would want you to spend all your time in prayer and no time in action or thinking actively about the life he gave you to live. So instead of being so very focused on feeling the need to pray and help and do anything you can desperately for others, go out and act!

Your subconcious mind may be telling you that you're upset and that there's things you need to do for yourself and others. God gave you freewill for a reason, he's not going to simply 'do' because you prayed for it. Be a working force in the world, prayer alone is not going to solve the world's problems. If you feel the need, talk to God, if that's what you believe, and find a course of action and follow it.

First, don't let others for one minute make you feel odd for praying or praying in your dreams. I think if more people would admit it, it happens to them at least a few times.
In Christianity there are a few principles that can explain:
First, the Bible says pray without sleeping, and that the Holy Spirit prays for the believer with groanings bespeaking of depths our minds can not percieve.
Secondly, from psychology proper, it is accepted that the unconscious is constantly working. I have helped people deal with nightmares by explaining that it is their mind working on realities that the conscous mind is not ready for. These are usually dreams reliving past traumas.
Finally, if a person goes to sleep while praying or thinking about it, having it carry on or happen when when asleep makes perfect sense.
For the record, I have awakened with things going on in my mind like an ongoing conversation or a prayer mode. Again, I don't think you all that odd.

No it is not good.
You are too narrowly focused on what you perceive to be religion.
God does speak to you in dreams, not always, but you will know when. But if you are constantly praying to God in your dreams and always thinking about praying, it is the same as any other addiction or obsessive behaviour.
If you are embracing this alone as something good, it will get worse and erode into your life.
God wants you to live for him. Rather do something practical that he can be proud of.
To all the other Christians who think I am wrong, the same goes for you.

You are the only person to understand the import of that dream. Are you someone who wants to pray hard but hardly does it and carries a feeling of guilt on account of that. A consiously prayerful person, may perhaps not have the desire for praying fulfilled in dreams

It means you are aware even when you are alseep, which is pretty good. I have a similar thing. I find myself saying prayers while alseep at times and when I am in the middle of a bad dream and something bad is about to happen, I immediately say a prayer as I would if I was awake, then I awake.

Oh please!! It's a dream!! Not some message from God! Why is it that all you deluded religious folk on the one hand would have us believe your God is the perfect omnipotent being and then on the other hand happily believe that instead of communicating with you in a clear and concise manner chooses to use the same vague techniques as a dodgy medium at a seance!! IT'S ALL IN THE MIND.

hey thats good. you know for sure, you are blessed and gifted with specific talents. I know myself, when i was younger, i heard voices, perhaps from my own head, abt what will happen in the near future...cannot know exactly to whom, but when the urge comes, it just a signal something not expected will take place near me, to someone...

maybe you are nervous about something or feel helpless/hopless about something in your life that you may not be able to control and you feel like you need to get all the "help" you can and so you do it in your sleep. Anxious about something??I don't know.
