That is really a thought provoking question. There are two aspects to be taken care of . As you said, firstly call your loving ones and friends for sorting out the unsettled and for proffering love unto them. In a way, to bid them farewell. Secondly, you prepare yourself to meet the inevitable. Become prayerful. Think of God. Think of the good things done on earth and think of the prospects in store, after kicking the bucket. I think, I am prepared for it. An ideal person should be prepared to receive death, with arms stretched out to it. I would like you to look at this site where the last hour of Gandhi is chronicled. Gandhi was also prepared for his death.

this reminds me of a poster I had hanging on my locker in high school (i'm now 26). If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make...who would you call and what would you say, and WHY are you waiting?
The truth is hardly any of us are lucky or unlucky enough to know when that final moment would be, so why not take the people you would talk to and the things you would do and get it done now!

I would spend it with my daughter and not worry about all things that were beyond my control. That is why it is important to tell the people you love that you love them and to forgive them when and while you still can because one never knows. Tomorrow is not promised and we can go at any time so its best to be prepared ahead of time so if something like this were to happen you would be free to spend time with family and friends.

Go to the hippest mall in town and hug and kiss every hot gal i see. Once i'm satisfied, i'll go home and spend some time with my friends and family and just before the hour is over, I'm gonna jump of the tallest building I can find.

I think what i will do is writing to my loved ones a letter. I'd like to confess everything i claim as my mistake. and everything else that i havent told them, things that they must know, cause the moments i've got left must kindly affects me to say all things right from my heart, it would be a great confession....From my heart and things i have in my mind for them to do, if they make time to think about "a thing they must do"

Hugs my kids and tell my husband I have always loved him more than words can tell him...............try to write a letter each for the kids so that they can always have in their hands a letter from me telling them how loved they are, how special they are and to never give up, always do the best they can and how proud of them that I am and always have been.
Have nice stiff drink to take edge off dying, MAYBE call MIL and tell her she is a complete ***** and to NOT bother coming to my funeral..............

I will call everybody and tell everybody how much they mean to me. I'll make passionate love to my wife for the last time. I'll play with my son until I die.

I would celebrate (not in a morbid way). Death is only sad to humans because we get emotionally attached.. I think that dying is also a rebirth, into what? I have no idea. Change should be welcomed, not feared.
