Hi my friends.I'm a Moslem from Iran. I would say gay people are not born that way.Their environment has caused them to be attracted to the same sex as theirs. So first of all people need to know that being gay is not a sin, nor it is evil. And also it's not a mental illness. It's the way you feel. It's The way you fulfil your sexual needs. There's absolutely nothing you could do to change your feelingsA feeling is not a sin.My best friend is a gay because he hadn't visited many men when he was a child. And he's a very good and kind person, very clever and honest. So being gay is not a sin by itself. The way you choose to fulfil your sexual needs determins wether you commit sins or not.Gay people must agree that in God's law gay-marriage and sexual affairs between men is a mortal sin.But this rule goes for heterosexual people too when they tend to commit evil deeds such as pre-marriage sex. It's against God's law and a mortal sin.But unfortunately some people think because their government allows them to do so it's OK while it's not in God's law.I think no one has the right to hate gay people because they haven't chosen to be that way.Gay people are just like hetrosexual people as long as they don't commit sins.In my mind some heterosexul people must be blamed for the way they choose to fulfil their needs such as pre-marriage sex.So you'll go to heaven if you live honestly and not to let your sexual feelings to control you and make you commit sins.Thanks.

I read a book called "Too Many People" and one the the thesis of the book pointed out that after a historical population decrease (like the plague) wages and lower and middle class living standards rose significantly because there were labor shortages. Thus population increases always drive down living standards for regular folks. What do you think?

I'm working on a debate project for Sociology class involving the English Only policy which is becoming more urgent in our country. For my part of the group project, I am collecting general information for this topic.

What I would like is to get more information involving people's opinion on the English Only Policy.

Is this a good idea?

Why or why not?

Everything about me, I want to make it better.
There's always room for improvement.*
-Mentally (Vocabulary, Organization, Honesty)
-Physically (Excercize, Healthier Eating)
-Spiritually (Connection with God)
-Take chances, set goals, smile (big one for me)
-Adaptation (I just moved, it's tough, I loved my old home, lived there for my whole life.)
-Give more than you take.
-Listening & Remembering.
-Do the right thing regardless.
I've gotten what to do, would like more, but now to put it into action.

*I have an extremely low self-esteem

I ask other people. they say I'm fine, how come I don't FEEL fine?

KING: I got you. Back to Iraq. Would you leave? Just leave?
PENN: Well, I think there are three Iraqs. Or there are four Iraqs. And I think that there is something -- you know, I'm not a military strategist, but that puts me on par with our military strategists. So I think that you have Kurdistan. We have an obligation to the Kurds there. You've got Sunnis and Shiites, who once got along. (End quote) Let me educate you Sean Penn you brainless wonder. It is commonly known that Shiite and Sunni Muslims have been killing each since ANCIENT TIMES. Murder over RULERSHIP and REVENGE regarding Muhammad's grandsons killing, by the Shiites, after they invited that heir to come and preach. They (Shiites) have a "Day" to commemerate it by beating themselves bloody, openly on the streets. Ḥusayn ibn ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (حسين بن علي بن أﺑﻲ طالب)‎ 28th August 626 – 680 Sha'ban 3 , 4 - Muharram 10 , 61 A.H.- was the grandson of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. SUNNI and SHIITES NEVER EVER had peace!

i used to (still do?) believe in God but the more I look at life I see only this. People can be disgustingly mean and lead great lives at the expense of someone else's suffering. what makes them succeed in this? their willpower, obviously. and then you have the religious people who are constantly struggling and so forth...so, from what I see, it's the willpower that helps you instead of...i don't like the way I think and I do want to believe but I can't ignore what i see.

i know my philosophy's not very deep but i want to hear your thoughts on this.

thanks

(but why do i feel so unhappy and depressed about it)
