Hi my friends.I'm a Moslem from Iran. I would say gay people are not born that way.Their environment has caused them to be attracted to the same sex as theirs. So first of all people need to know that being gay is not a sin, nor it is evil. And also it's not a mental illness. It's the way you feel. It's The way you fulfil your sexual needs. There's absolutely nothing you could do to change your feelingsA feeling is not a sin.My best friend is a gay because he hadn't visited many men when he was a child. And he's a very good and kind person, very clever and honest. So being gay is not a sin by itself. The way you choose to fulfil your sexual needs determins wether you commit sins or not.Gay people must agree that in God's law gay-marriage and sexual affairs between men is a mortal sin.But this rule goes for heterosexual people too when they tend to commit evil deeds such as pre-marriage sex. It's against God's law and a mortal sin.But unfortunately some people think because their government allows them to do so it's OK while it's not in God's law.I think no one has the right to hate gay people because they haven't chosen to be that way.Gay people are just like hetrosexual people as long as they don't commit sins.In my mind some heterosexul people must be blamed for the way they choose to fulfil their needs such as pre-marriage sex.So you'll go to heaven if you live honestly and not to let your sexual feelings to control you and make you commit sins.Thanks.

I don't believe anyone would choose to be gay. The prejudice and even violence experienced by gay people is terrible and who would choose to face that.
For those who believe in God, would he really turn his back on a person for something like being Gay?? I don't believe he would.
I believe in equal rights for all.xxx

Man-made God laws? Homophobic, sexist, mysogynists translated the bible from its original text. The only laws you need to follow are the 10 commandments. It does not say "homosexuality is a sin" on there.

People often fear what they don't understand, so they run around like that annoying little bishop on the new Casanova movie, meddling in to everyone else's lives.

People who are homosexual, are in fact born that way. They were created by God just like the rest of us were. Don't hate others simply because someone else said so. The biggest accomplishment you can do for yourself is to accept others "just as they are".

Being homosexual is not a choice.

Every human foetus is initially female, which is why men have nipples. If the father's sperm contains a Y chromosome this triggers the mother's body to produce testosterone which happens in two bursts between 6 and 8 weeks into the pregnancy. The first burst causes the male reproductive system to be formed with the clitoris growing to become a penis and the labia closing to form the scrotum.

The second burst changes the wiring of the brain from female to male. We now know that female and male brains are wired differently. Sometimes the second burst does not happen for some reason and the individual is left with a male body and a female brain.

This at least explains why some males are attracted to males.

Why some females are attracted to females is something I have not yet heard a good explanation for. I can only assume that the foetus skipped right to the second burst without developing the body yet. Anything is possible.

Choosing to be homosexual makes no more sense than choosing to be left handed since it brings nothing but disadvantages in life. There is always a motive when someone makes a choice. We can choose what we do but not what we are.

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention. God is more loving an understanding than what hateful people make Him out to be. He loves everyone.

People often fear stepping out and thinking for themselves because of what they were taught. They limit their own thoughts. It must be very suffocating in their limited little world.

Btw, I'm not gay, but i have many friends who are. I love them for their compassion, courage, creativity, and acceptance of everyone.

Hmmm...that's a pretty convoluted question if you ask me, but in essence I think you're saying that it's no sin to be born gay (although your first sentence dismisses that as a possibility and blames the environment--huh?), and it's okay so long as you don't "fulfill your sexual needs."
I think there are more similarities between the black/white good/bad rules of the muslim faith and the christian faith than you might imagine, especially given your interpretation of them. And I think you of all people should understand why some people think being gay is a sin. But then again, re-reading your question, I'm not so sure you really understand much of anything.

As others have said, The Bible says it's a sin so I say it's a sin. Where others are wrong is when they say that we should not judge each other. They need to open their Bibles. We are to judge righteously says God. Which means that we are not judging but rather it is God's word that is judging. Homosexuality is a sin that is called an abomination and two cities, Sodom and Gammorah were uterly destroyed because of it. God also says in the book of Romans that it is a sin. We need to be able to stand up for God's word and rememeber that it is God speaking and not us. Also the reason why you have no problem with it is because you yourself are a sinner. Islam is a man-made religion just like many others and if you continue to follow it and not accept Christ and be baptized you too will go to hell. I do not wish this for anyone so I would recommend picking up a New Testamemt Bible and start reading my friend before Christ comes back or before your life is taken away. Good Luck

Well to answer your question~> people think homosexuality is a sin because it says in the Bible that it's "a detestable sin". But, we as people have no right to judge others, that should only be left to the Creator when the time comes.

Nope, you're either born gay or straight. Kinda like being born left-handed or not.

Christians (which I'm not anymore) think the same stuff. Being gay is a sin against God, all that silly, silly nonsense. You are born gay or straight, and as the Seinfeld show said "not that there's anything wrong with that".

This is your opinion, and you are entitled to it, and i respect it however, as a christian, i follow the bible and he bible says that it is a sin for a man to lay with a man as a man would lay with a woman. So yes, it is a sin. However, God does not look at this sin or any other as one being worse than another. That is what society has done. So, we are all sinners. And we must all repent to get into heaven. To repent does not mean feel sorry, it means to be sorry and not do it anymore. Sin is Sin, one is no larger than another. Also as a christian it is not my place to judge anyone, that is God's job, so with the measure you use to judge that is the measure God will use to judge us. I do not hate anyone i may not agree with what they do or care for their lifestyle however, I do not hate anyone. To hate is sinful, to judge is sinful. Good luck and God bless.

Unclean in Gods eyes.

You are not born gay, the gay movement started with the coming out of the closet day mess, it's a fad tat attracts people that are confused about their sexuality. I hate to admit it now but our societal values and norms are being dictated by religious hypocrit who now have the means to spread their words of hate, the television.
