In a world that is in chaos politically, socially and environmentally, how can the human race sustain another 100 years?

I'm 25 now and have been a care assistant for 6 years. When I was 19 I was working in a residential home. One of the cleaner's said that my job wasn't a proper job for a lad of my age, and that I should do something else. That I should get some prospects. She went on to say that I had nothing to offer any girl. Several years later I started working for care agencies. Over the years i've worked out that i've cared for 100s of vunerable people. People that are really just waiting to die. I feel that i've made a difference and feel very rewarded. I think it is the best job that anyone can do. More important than a corperate manager, or a computer programmer. I believe carers are percieved as being at he bottom of the job barrell. It's crap! I'll always remember what that snob said to me. What do you guys think?

Selling out your individual personality is not the way to live, I know from experience and when I went through that little phase.

I think you should like who you are and what you do, even if other people (the jock/cheerleader types) consider you "weird"

It just seems like I have seen a trend of the gas prices coming down when JohnQ Public is getting restless, and questioning the "state of the union".
And what's worse is it seems to work.
I certainly feel a bit less angry with the current status quo when I can better afford to drive myself to work.
Does anyone agree? if disagree keep the accusations of political affilation out of your dissenting OPINION. Thanks much.

Maybe it's pre-emptive to combat the eventual rise in prices with the current hurricane path predictions?

Thoughts?

ok, thanks for all the responses.

i decided i will be truthful and tell her that i accidently cheated on her.

it was really an accident, because the chick was real hot and it was hot outside and she had a short skirt on and it was late and i felt very vulnerable.

but how should i tell my GF that i cheated? what should i bring? i mean, what should i buy her so that i can have a gift while i tell her what happened?

at first i'd say it is, but does having experience in a field sometimes eliminate the need for independent thought?
is it better to go in blind and feel your way through some things?
when might this be appropriate?

I see on this site all the time about how someone doesn't like someone else because of skin color. When did this idea that light skin is better start, for real? Does anyone know? What is so bad about being almond/tan/brown skinned? Most of the people on the planet fall into the "non-white" category, so what is the problem? I myself don't care, but so many people apparently do that I am just curious as to how they justify this imagined "superiority". And if white is best, why are there so many tanning salons?

How do you get out of the habbit of being lazy? I have lots of boring forms to fill out and lots of packing to do and various other things to sort out before I go to uni. I feel so lazy though. I keep telling myself I have to do it, but I just feel drained and am feeling a little down about things at the moment. What is a good way to get out of this dodgy patch and start sorting these things out?

This is a quote from someone famous back during the 1800's, I don't remember the name, but he said that humanity needed to become vegetarian for it to survive.

Keep this in mind: water is running out.
Animals need: crops and to grow crops they need water, animals need water.
Plants: need to be water only, no need to grow crops.

Is becoming vegetarian the only to survive?

As I continue to look at the world around me, and take a look at the money within my pocket, I seem to continually realize how worthless money is within our society today. Although it's harder to see individually, but as you look to countries' net imports and exports, it becomes more and more vauge as to why we continue to use money within a globalized economy. As companies continue to expand overseas, their services are no longer benefiting any one country, but two (or more even). Individually, money is (in my mind) becoming less and less of a means of exchange as it is a hassle. So here's my question again: Why is money still a prominant factor within our society? Why can't we eliminate it?
