Why are some people born without a sense of humor ?

I dont think that people are not born without a sense of humor. I think that people take things very seriously in life and because of life circumstances they have take the road to be angry and mad and have not overcome those emotions and situations. I think it is a matter of choice wether you want to be happy or not.

I never understood that because humor is important to me.I do find people without a sense of humor can be quite funny by those that do have a good sense of humor. I enjoy telling them a funny joke just to see the dead pan look on there face and generally laugh at that more than the joke itself .

Nobody is born with a sense of humor. Being born with an ability is a romantic myth!

If your father or mother were strict, and only joked when you were in pain, you wouldn't place any value on being funny.

My mother is full of sense of humor not my father. I am like my father in many, many ways..and I had to rewire my self.. Now I have such a great sense of humor. It can be learned. Now I see things in a different light and enjoy life..

I'd have to say it is in their upbringing.
we didn't have fun when I was a kid, life was sooooo boring.
We never went to the movies or anywhere else. We didn't have T.V.
there was no such thing as video games. (most TVs were in black and white) Cassettes weren't invented yet.
There wern't any dances to go to.

So I grew up having no sense of humour.or fun. it's just not there.
