As recently as the early 1970's, a white collar job interview included as SPOUSAL interview of the wife -- so a good-looking, or at least gracious, wife, was important.
People used to organize parties at each other's homes, so white collar jobs also included in-home inspections by the boss and the resquirement for a wife who was a good hostess.
This hasn't entirely faded away. Married peole get the promotions. A guy with a hot looking wife is seen as more personable.
But the divorce rate is so high nowadays that the hot wife gets dumped in her forties for a "trophy wife" by a hugely successful man. So, go figure.

It depends. I do not think I guy will be judge just because he has a good looking wife. I'd rather go out with an average guy/woman than a nice looking one. You will get a lot of headache and pain than an average looking one. Some maybe are looking to boast their ego but having a good looking one yikes that's when a trophy wife comes in called EXPENSIVE upkeep.

Not all the time. However......I think that if an ugly guy has a ton of money and is very successful, then yes he will have a hot wife....take ugly a-ss Trump....perfect example. Do you think that b-itch really loves him? Come on.

I WOULD judge a guy who cares what other people's opinions of his wife's looks are. You could be married to the most beautiful woman in the world and it won't get you into law school or raise your I.Q.

I think a man is judge by others on his womans appearance.
As for if he's more successful, I don't know about that!

What if a guy just went to a third world country where a guy can just pick a "hot" looking woman even if he's a total loser (and she just plans on ditching him when she sees the opportunity)? I see that a lot.
