They will be able to tell the liars from the soothsayers.
They reserve the seats for the purpose of giving them a chance at a higher education.
If they achieve a higher education, they will give a fresh perspective on learning and teaching to the community.
What would a person with an SAT-reading score below 500 have to say about teaching a person to think by telling them to read a book?
Has anybody ever learned to play a video game by being told to RTFM?

Probably because a student might suffer from dyslexia, or some other learning disorder.
