My mother died and i never mat her..she left me and my sister in a apartment when i was only 2 years old for 3 days..since then i have been living with my granny..i am 17 years old..i have never mat her and the only time i talked to her she said she was happy she left me (true story) she died in december..n me and my sister just found out 2 mouths ago

Many muslims are distrustful of the United States given our past history in the area. Isn't it about time to shift control to the U.N. and allow the world (including many muslim nations) to resolve the political unrest in Iraq? I'm old enough to recall that Republicans were the party that resisted and disliked the policy called, "nation building". Both Reagan and Bush Sr. refused to put troops on the ground on countless occasions due to the problems associated with "winning the peace" As a teacher at a High School, I've seen a large number of my wonderful students go to Iraq over the years. Two (2) have died, four (4) were wounded and many more have stories that would chill your bones. How many more Americans must go to Iraq. I know they all enlisted voluntarily, but we have a duty to these fine young people to do what's right and put them in harms way only when absolutely necessary. Serious thoughtful answers from those that agree or disagree are welcome

We have the ability to produce wonderous things, provide food for all people, give everyone a decent place to live, and so on and so forth. Yet we place artificial roadblocks in every path so that most people live out lives of desparation or at least at far below their potential. Think of what could happen if the vast potential of 6 billion brains could be tapped because they no longer had to worry about basic survival or about attaining a decent level of comfort.

Is this a utopian pipe dream? I thnk not, because with collective intelligence comes new ideas and a means to solve current world problems.

I would like to see a system to replace the money based system we currently have for allocating planet resources. The rich should not be the only ones to benefit from our collective wealth. It should go to all of us because all of us contribute to it in one form or another.
