Social Science - 9 July 2006

I started my new job in an international working environment since six month ago. Before that, I have had three years working experience in an international working environment which is with quite different industry but with similar position and job tasks.

As being a foreigner in a foreign country, I felt I was treated different from other residents as I am an asian. However, my boss is also a forienger here and he took care of every staff with equal opportunity for qualified ones. While I still hope I will be able to take part more in my company's technological services insteads of getting money without much effort, I lose my confidence gradually wondering if I can do it or not.

It seems many responses to Professor Hawkings (and others) questions about how our species will survive indicate our only hope is to relocate to Mars or beyond? Why resort to this logistical nightmare? Given the challenges faced by getting cooperation on this planet, what makes you think we could pull off establishing a sustainable presence on another?

If a child with an inattentive mother and an absent father rarely, if ever, received support and encouragement, then how does the child, now an adult, find the courage and self-confidence to be a healthy and well-adjusted part of society? I'd like to hear more than, "See a therapist," or "Just do it," or similar answers. Thanks for your input.

i understand that there has been much opression toward women for centries and im all up for equal rights,

i was watching tv and seen an add for womens car insurance,
i personally belive that this is unfair,

i understand that there are statistics behind the workings of insurance, but why are we fighting for equallity when we are allowing new ways of seperation,

It happens to me sometimes but never when I'm face to face with someone. They will be in another room or I might have my back turned towards them. It's like I can hear them but I'm not really paying attention to the words. I can sometimes tell them what the subject was. When they repeat exactly what they were thinking, I can say THAT'S IT! Some people think that I'm crazy because sometimes I ask them to repeat what they said. They usually claim that they haven't said anything! true example: My ex and I were laying on opposite ends of a very long couch, when I heard him say something. He didn't have my full attention so I apologized for not listening and I asked him to repeat himself. He claimed that the didn't say anything! I told him that he did speak so the asked me what did I hear him say. I could only tell him that he said something about Monday. He said, "Oh, my God, I was thinking that tomorrow is Monday and I don't feel like going to work". We were both freaked out!

why is it tht so? we have contributed to SCIENCE we are peaceful we are responsible but u have rude words for us always why do u hate someone when will the white race start accepting tht everyone is equal they ruled us for 200 years robbed us of our wealth bcz we were peaceful and not warlike today u treat us in the same way as if we are inferior though our thoughts and ideas are much better than u we are damn intelligent most of ur noble prize winners are assisted by gifted indian graduates and they never get the credit as they are financially not better off than their employers we are growing why do u critisize us instead of encouraging us why do u hate us at all????????

I had a dream bout this girl i like. In class i forgot my book and i asked her with my head on her shoulders lookin into her eyes with a sad but flurty look can i share with you? She said yeah. Whith more and more jobs going overseas and/or becoming digital, the job market continues to decline. So is there is really a job shortage, or is there really a people overage in this country?

For that matter, why do those in poverty circumstances tend to have MORE children per couple than those not in poverty? Is that not compounding the problem?
