My computer.
When they were younger, my kids thought I'd probably save that before them.
And to bikittykat, as the mother of a dead child, I would like to convince you to get those photos copied and stored away from home, digitized and put on an online storage place, or otherwise protected. When they're gone, they're gone. And it doesn't take a fire. (One of my kids must have thrown away the box of photo albums because they've been gone for years, and I don't know how it happened. Actually, it was probably the one who died, because he did strange things when he was angry.)

The one material object would be a picture I have of my parents from a party they attended. They are both gone now, and in the picture they look like they are having a great time! Everything else in the house is *im*material!

My pictures!! My first son pasted away from SIDS and that is all I have left of him except for the memories. I hope everyone says pictures because you can replace your couch computer etc... just not a photograph of your loved ones!!

Pictures....if I could only take ONE picture....I would take the picture of my daughter who died. Pictures are the only thing I have left of her.

umm it would definately be the photo of my children and i on my profile. but god forbid if it ever happened to me or any1 else. fire sucks when someone is hurt.
